Ice Maker with a Threaded Connection Between a Motor Shaft and an Auger
An ice maker includes a casing that defines a chamber. The casing extends between a top portion and a bottom portion. An extruder die is mounted to the casing at the top portion of the casing. A motor is positioned above the extruder die. An auger is disposed within the chamber of the casing. The auger is coupled to a shaft of the motor with a threaded connection such that the auger is rotatable with the motor along a rotational direction within the chamber of the casing. The threaded connection between the auger and the shaft of the motor is wound opposite the rotational direction of the auger. A related refrigerator appliance is also provided.
Ice Maker with a Radial and Thrust Bearing
An ice maker includes a casing that defines a chamber. The casing extends between a top portion and a bottom portion. An extruder die is mounted to the casing at the top portion of the casing. An auger is disposed within the chamber of the casing. A radial sleeve bearing engages the auger at the extruder die. A radial and thrust bearing engages the auger at the bottom portion of the casing. A related refrigerator appliance is also provided.
Ice making device
An ice making device and a method of making ice. A plurality of passages for refrigerant, preferably, multi-component refrigerant, is in thermal communication with a freezing surface, for example in an outer shell surrounding a body. The passages each include an inlet and an outlet. The inlet for a passage may be disposed approximately 180° from the outlet for that passage. The outlet for the passages may form the inlet for the subsequent passage. The size of the outlets may be smaller than a cross-sectional size of the passage. As the refrigerant moves through the passages, water on the freezing surfaces will freeze and form ice. A blade will scrape the ice off.

Manual ice maker and refrigerator comprising with the same
A manual ice maker and a refrigerator comprising the same are provided. The manual ice maker comprises: an ice making body being a frame formed with an opening, and provided with a first positioning hole in a front wall thereof, a second positioning hole in a rear wall thereof and a first limiting protrusion on an inner surface of the rear wall thereof; an ice making tray provided with a first shaft at a front end thereof and a second shaft at a rear end thereof, the first shaft rotatably supported in and extended out of the first positioning hole, the second shaft rotatably supported in the second positioning hole; and an ice removing assembly. The ice removing assembly comprises: a twisting member provided with a gear; and a press member movable between a first position and a second position in a vertical direction to drive the gear to rotate.
Ice maker
An ice maker is provided that varies an amount of heat transferred between an ice making member connected to a cooling unit and water being in direct or indirect contact with the ice making member according to portions of the ice making member, and producing ice in various forms including rounded ice without edges, especially spherical ice, on the ice making member, the ice maker including a cooling unit performing cooling; at least one ice making member connected to the cooling unit and being in direct or indirect contact with water to allow ice to be produced thereon; with an amount of heat transferred between the ice making member and the water being in direct or indirect contact with the ice making member varies according to portions of the ice making member, such that ice is produced in various forms on the ice making member.
