Refrigerator
A water pocket with an open top side is filled with water, mounted in a regular position on a supporting frame, and tilts to supply the water stored in the water pocket to an ice making tray, thereby easily supplying a required amount of water to the ice making tray. A refrigerator includes an ice making tray provided to linearly move with rotation when ice of the ice making tray is separated, or includes a holding preventing member which prevents the ice from being caught by a lower ice making tray, thereby improving a forward-and-backward width of an ice maker. It is possible to easily withdraw ice stored in an ice bucket by pushing an ice discharge button in a state in which the ice bucket is not separated.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a main body, a door rotatably coupled to the main body, and an ice making chamber provided in the door and into which the ice maker is assembled. The ice making chamber includes an ice making chamber wall and an ice making space having an open front surface, and the ice making chamber wall includes a guide rib protruding toward the ice making space. The ice maker includes an ice making tray having an ice making cell for storing water, an ejector rotatable to separate ice from the ice making cell, and a motor box coupled to one side of the ice making tray in a longitudinal direction to accommodate an ice separation motor for rotating the ejector. The ice making tray is supported on the guide rib, and the motor box and the ice making chamber wall is fastened through a fastening member.
Refrigerator icemaking system with tandem storage bins and/or removable dispenser recess
A refrigerator utilizes in some instances an icemaker having a tandem arrangement of storage bins. A first storage bin receives ice produced by an icemaker and includes a reversible ice mover that when operated in a first direction feeds an ice dispenser, and when operated in a second direction feeds a second storage bin disposed below the first storage bin. A refrigerator may also in another aspect include an externally-accessible ice dispenser having a dispenser recess portion that is removable from the refrigerator when the doors of the refrigerator are closed, e.g., for the purpose of accessing an ice storage bin.
Insulated ice compartment for bottom mount refrigerator with controlled damper
A refrigerator includes a refrigerator cabinet, a fresh food compartment disposed within the cabinet, a freezer compartment disposed within the cabinet, an ice compartment disposed within the cabinet, and an electronic control system associated with the refrigerator and adapted to monitor and control the fresh food compartment, the freezer compartment and the ice compartment. The control system provides for energy efficient control and operation through various means, including by monitoring state of an ice maker associated with the ice compartment and controlling temperature within compartments of the refrigerator based on the ice maker state. A damper controls air flow between the fresh food and freezer compartments. The control system can direct heat to the damper if the damper becomes frozen.
Ice making assembly for receiving interchangeable mold assemblies
An ice maker for a refrigerator appliance includes an ice making assembly defining a receiving chamber in fluid communication with an air duct and a mold assembly removably mounted to the ice making assembly. The mold assembly includes a frame configured for receipt within the receiving chamber of the ice making assembly, a heat exchanger mounted to the frame and defining a mold support surface, and a flexible mold positioned on the mold support surface that is supported by the heat exchanger such that the flexible mold is in thermal communication with the heat exchanger and defines a mold cavity configured to receive a liquid. The mold assembly is replaceable with alternate mold assemblies.
ICE MAKER AND REFRIGERATOR HAVING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to an ice maker and a refrigerator having the ice maker. An ice maker according to the present disclosure includes: an upper assembly including an upper tray forming an upper chamber, which is a portion an ice chamber, and having an upper opening, and a temperature sensor configured to sense temperature of the ice chamber in contact with the upper tray; and a lower assembly being rotatable with respect to the upper assembly and having a lower tray forming a lower chamber that is another portion of the ice chamber, in which a contact portion between the temperature sensor and the upper tray is positioned closer to a contact surface of the upper tray and the lower tray than the upper opening.
Ice storage container and refrigerator having same
Disclosed are an ice storage container (100) and a refrigerator (1000) having same. The ice storage container (100) includes: an ice delivering part (10) and an ice crushing part (20). The ice delivering part (10) includes: a container body (11), an ice pushing component (12), and a driving member. The container body (11) defines a first accommodating cavity (a) for accommodating ice cubes. The first accommodating cavity (a) is provided with an ice outlet (b). The ice pushing component (10) is arranged in the first accommodating cavity (a). The ice pushing component (12) includes a plurality of blades (1212). The driving member is connected to the ice pushing component (12). The blades (1212) of the ice pushing component (12) are configured to crush the ice cubes selectively based on a preset condition that is forward rotation or reverse rotation. The plurality of blades (1212) push the ice towards the ice outlet (b).
Ice maker and refrigerator
Provided is an ice maker including an upper tray and a lower tray made of an elastic material, wherein a plurality of upper chambers defined in the upper tray and a plurality of lower chambers defined in the lower tray are in contact with each other to define a plurality of spherical ice chambers, respectively, each ejector-receiving opening opened to each of the plurality of upper chambers, each opening-defining wall extending upward along a circumference of each ejector-receiving opening, an upper ejector configured to pass through the ejector-defining wall and vertically move to remove each ice from each ice chamber, and a driver for pivoting the lower tray to open and close the upper tray and the lower tray, wherein the upper tray includes a horizontal extension forming a top face of the upper tray, wherein the upper chamber is positioned below the horizontal extension such that the opening-defining wall is formed at a vertical level equal to or lower than a vertical level of the opening-defining wall.
Refrigerator
Provided is a refrigerator including a cabinet having a freezing compartment defined therein, an ice-maker mounted in the freezing compartment, wherein the ice-maker makes spherical ice and removes the made spherical ice downwards, an ice bin disposed below the ice-maker, and retractable and extendable in a front and rear direction, wherein the removed ice is stored in the ice bin, and a cover plate extending downward from a rear face of the ice-maker, wherein the cover plate shields a space between the ice bin and the ice-maker.
