Disclosed is an ice making device that is able to selectively make ices having different transparencies from each other. The ice making device includes: an ice making chamber including an ice making container to accommodate ice making water therein; a cooler configured to supply cool air to the ice making chamber to cool the ice making water; an ice making fan configured to circulate the supplied cool air; an ice making heater configured to supply heat to the ice making water when the ice making water is cooled; and a controller configured to control at least one of the cooling unit, the ice making fan and the ice making heater to adjust a rate of change of temperature of the ice making container to generate one of two types of ice having different transparency. The ice making device may adjust the rate of change of temperature of the ice making container to have the transparency desired by a user.
REFRIGERATOR HAVING ICE MAKER AND REFRIGERATION CIRCUIT THEREFOR
A refrigerator includes a fresh food compartment; a freezer compartment; an ice compartment disposed in the fresh food compartment; an ice maker disposed in the ice compartment, the ice maker including an ice tray, an ice maker evaporator, and a cooling tube which is disposed between the ice maker tray and the ice maker evaporator, such that the cooling tube is in direct contact with the ice maker tray and the ice maker evaporator; and a refrigeration circuit including a compressor, a condenser, a refrigerant valve, the ice maker evaporator, and a freezer compartment evaporator. The refrigerant valve directs a refrigerant to one of a first path or a second path of the refrigeration circuit, the first path causing the ice maker evaporator to work in series with the freezer compartment evaporator, and the second path causing the refrigerant to bypass the ice maker evaporator to the freezer compartment evaporator.
Ice-making tray and refrigerator comprising same
An ice-making tray according to the concept of the present invention is capable of making ice at high speed and improving the transparency of ice by providing a second tray having ice cells for storing ice-making water to be coupled, in an overlapping manner, to the upper surface of a first tray which is in contact with a refrigerant pipe. The first tray may be formed of an aluminum material, the second tray may be formed of a plastic material, and the first tray formed of an aluminum material can efficiently function as a heat exchanger of an ice-making space due to having high thermal-conductivity. In the second tray, a fixing part for fixing the ice-making tray inside the ice-making space, a shaft accommodating part for accommodating the rotation shaft of an ejector, a temperature sensor accommodating part for accommodating a temperature sensor, and an air insulating part for insulating the ice-making tray and an ice separating motor may be formed integrally.
