METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CLEANING OF ICE MAKER
20210278118 · 2021-09-09 ·

A method and system for cleaning of an ice maker forcing the ice maker to proceed with a cleaning cycle when cleaning of the ice maker is necessary, the method and system including: a cleaning grace period determination step determining, by a controller, whether a cleaning grace period, which allows the cleaning of the ice maker to be deferred, has elapsed when a time for performing a cleaning cycle of the ice maker comes during operation of the ice maker; an ice-separating determination step determining, by the controller, whether ice-separating operation has completed for current ice-making operation when the cleaning grace period is determined to have elapsed; and an operation stop step controlling, by the controller, the cleaning to proceed by stopping actions related to the ice-making and ice-separating operations of the ice maker when the ice-separating operation is completed.

DEVICE FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATTER IN ICE MAKER

A device for removing foreign matter in an ice maker is proposed. The device is configured to prevent foreign matter from accumulating on the bottom of a float by changing the structure of the bottom of the float. The device includes: a level sensor sensing a water level using a float moving up and down, depending on a height of water supplied in a water tank; and a connection pipe forming a channel for water flow between the water pump and the level sensor by being connected to the level sensor, and having an inclined surface inclined downward toward an entrance of the channel under the float.

ICE MAKER AFFIXED WITH OZONATED WATER AND HYPOCHLOROUS ACID WATER CAPABLE OF STERILIZING BACTERIA

An ice maker capable of sterilizing bacteria contains: a body, a compressor, a condenser, a cooling fan, and a control box. The condenser is connected with a capillarity tube on which a filtration program is installed, and the capillarity tube is connected with an expansion valve which communicates with an evaporator, and an ice cavity that has a heater. A tilted channel is located below the ice cavity, and a storage tank is fixed on the tilted channel. The body includes an ice water tank and a water pump communicating with multiple spray nozzles. The ice water tank includes a control valve connected with an intake, an overflow outlet is defined on the ice water tank, and a generator for ozonated and hypochlorous acid water is mounted in the ice water tank. The ozonated and hypochlorous acid water generator includes a casing, two inflow holes, two outflow holes, multiple cathode plates, and multiple anode plates.

Ice maker with automatic descale and sanitize feature

An automatic descale and sanitize process for an ice maker which requires less user intervention and time. During descaling, a main water reservoir of an ice maker sump is filled with water to a descale water level and mixes with a cleaner placed in the main water reservoir. The water/cleaner mixture is pumped through the ice maker to descale the water system and freeze plate. During sanitizing, the sump is filled with water to a sanitize water level, above the descale water level, and mixes with sanitizer placed in a sanitizer reservoir of the sump. The water/sanitizer mixture is pumped through the ice maker to sanitize the water system and freeze plate. During descaling, the sanitizer placed in the sanitizer reservoir does not come into contact with the water in the main water reservoir. After the descale and sanitize process, the ice maker can return to making ice.
