An insert positioned in the circular opening with a projection provides a vibrating motion to dislodge ice cubes from the ice tray. An ice tray includes an integrated heating circuit for sensing capacitance and releasing frozen ice cubes. An ice tray also includes a raised flange to prevent water from splashing out of the ice tray.
WATER FILL TUBE WITH THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE FILLED POLYMER
A refrigeration appliance includes an appliance body defining a plurality of compartments, and an ice making system in a first compartment of the plurality of compartments with an ice making compartment disposed therein. The refrigeration appliance also includes a water fill tube extending from a second compartment of the plurality of compartments to the first compartment to supply water to the ice making compartment, the water fill tube having a body with an inner surface defining a cavity for flowing water and an outer surface. The body includes at least a portion with a thermally conductive filler dispersed in a polymer material. The refrigeration appliance also includes a heating device configured to supply heat to the water fill tube, where the thermally conductive filler conducts heat along and through a thickness of the body to melt ice and prevent ice build-up in the water fill tube.
Ice making assembly for a refrigerator appliance
An ice making assembly for a refrigerator appliance includes a resilient silicone mold defining a mold cavity and a lifter mechanism positioned below the resilient mold for selectively deforming the mold and raising the ice cubes formed therein. A sweep assembly is positioned over the resilient mold and moves to an extended position after the cubes are raised to discharge the ice cubes at a top of the ice making assembly. A fill cup is positioned above the resilient mold for selectively filling the mold cavity with water and a heating element in thermal communication with the fill cup for selectively heating the fill cup to prevent ice jams or clogging.
REFRIGERATOR AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
A refrigerator includes a storage chamber, a cold air supply which supplies cold air to the storage chamber, a first tray which forms a part of an ice making cell that is a space where water is phase-changed into ice by the cold air, a second tray which forms another part of the ice making cell and which may come into contact with the first tray during an ice making process and may be separated from the first tray during an ice transfer process, a heater adjacent to at least one of the first tray or the second tray, a sensor which determines the position of the second tray in a movement process of the second tray, and a control unit which controls the heater.
ICEMAKER ASSEMBLY
A refrigerator includes a freezer compartment and a machine compartment positioned proximate the freezer compartment. An icemaker assembly is positioned within the freezer compartment. A fill tube extends from the machine compartment into the icemaker assembly. A first solenoid valve is coupled to the fill tube. A second solenoid valve is coupled to the fill tube, wherein the first and second solenoid valves are positioned within the machine compartment. A controller is configured to independently open and close the first and second solenoid valves.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator according to the present invention comprises: a storage chamber for storing food; a cold air supply means for supplying cold air to the storage chamber; a first tray forming one part of an ice making cell which is a space in which water is phase-changed into ice by means of the cold air; a second tray forming the other part of the ice making cell and connected to a driving unit so as to come into contact with the first tray during an ice making process and be separated from the first tray in an ice separating process; a heater positioned adjacent to the first tray and/or the second tray; an operation unit for inputting a start command of a test mode; and a control unit for controlling the heater and/or the driving unit in the test mode, wherein, if the start command of the test mode is input during the operation of the heater, the control unit turns the heater off and operates the driving unit such that the second tray moves.
Ice machine, fault handling method and fault handling apparatus for ice machine, and refrigeration device
An ice machine, a fault handling method and fault handling apparatus of the ice machine, and a refrigeration device. The ice machine includes an ice machine body, an ice making tray located in the ice machine body, a heating assembly, and an ice stirring assembly for stirring out ice made in the ice making tray. A fault of an ice stirring assembly is automatically removed by means of a heating treatment mode of gradually raising a heating temperature multiple times, the method and apparatus moving simply and quickly, wherein the satisfaction degree of users is improved.
