A dielectric constant estimation device which can estimate a dielectric constant of an object with high accuracy in a non-contact state even when a shape of the object is indefinite, and a microwave heating device equipped with the dielectric constant estimation device. The dielectric constant estimation device includes a transmitting antenna and a receiving antenna which can switch a polarized wave of an electromagnetic wave between a TE wave and a TM wave. Based on a reflected wave of the TE wave and a reflected wave of the TM wave from the object, the dielectric constant estimation device calculates a TM/TE reflection ratio, and compares the calculated TM/TE reflection ratio and dielectric constant data of theoretical values stored in a memory part in advance in the form of database with each other so that a dielectric constant of the object is estimated.

The storage space is composed of a top cover and a bottom box, a lower surface of the top cover is provided with a concave cavity, and the controlled atmosphere membrane component is disposed in the concave cavity.

Active thermal management systems and control logic for heat exchanger storage of refrigerant
Presented are joint active thermal management (JATM) systems with heat exchanger storage of surplus refrigerant, methods for making/operating such systems, and vehicles equipped with such systems. A JATM system includes a coolant loop that fluidly connects to a vehicle battery system for pumping thereto coolant, an oil loop thermally coupled to the coolant loop and fluidly connected to a vehicle powertrain system for pumping thereto oil, and a refrigerant loop thermally coupled to the coolant loop and operable to circulate refrigerant for heating/cooling a passenger compartment. An electronic controller determines if a current amount of refrigerant in the refrigerant loop exceeds a calibrated threshold for the current operating mode of the JATM system. If so, the controller determines if one of the refrigerant loop's heat exchangers is available to store excess refrigerant. If the heat exchanger is available, the refrigerant loop stores excess refrigerant in the available refrigerant heat exchanger.
REFRIGERATION APPLIANCE WITH COMPARTMENT WHICH CAN BE USED IN A VARIABLE MANNER
A refrigeration appliance with multiple storage compartments has a refrigerant circuit with a first expansion valve, a first heat exchanger, a second expansion valve, and a second heat exchanger connected in series between pressure and suction connections of a compressor. Each heat exchanger is associated with at least one storage compartment in order to control its temperature. A control unit controls the compressor rotational speed and positions of the expansion valves. The control unit has a continuously linear regulator for each storage compartment with a P-component for estimating a required temperature control output using a difference between actual and target temperatures. A model computing unit ascertains a target evaporation temperature for a first storage compartment controlled by the first heat exchanger, and for a second storage compartment controlled by the second heat exchanger. The heat exchangers are operated by selecting the compressor rotational speed and the valve positions of the expansion valves.
External water-purifying filter case, installation structure thereof and sterilizing method using the same
An installation structure of an external filter case for a refrigerator is provided. The filter case may include a main body that provides an inner space in which an internal line may be installed and water filters may be installed, and a cover that covers the inner space of the main body and is detachably coupled with the main body. The main body may have an open front side and may include bosses that protrude from its bottom face. The cover may include insertion holes into which the bosses may be inserted. A lower portion of the main body may be coupled with a lower portion of the cover. Magnets may be installed in upper portions of the main body and the cover, respectively, such that the main body and the cover may be coupled with each other by a magnetic force.
Drying chamber assembly and air-cooled refrigerator having same
A drying chamber assembly and a refrigerator are provided. The drying chamber assembly consists of a drawer-type sealing container which includes a drawer body, a drawer door and a drawer upper cover. The drawer body has an upward top opening. The drawer door is disposed at a front end of the drawer body and configured to push and pull the drawer body. The drawer upper cover is disposed above the drawer body to seal the top opening when the drawer body is completely pushed into the storage compartment and defines a drying space together with the drawer body and the drawer door. An airflow inlet is formed in the drawer body and configured to supply an airflow to the drying space. The drying chamber assembly directly covers and seals the top opening of the drawer body through the drawer upper cover.
