A method of shutting down a refrigeration system including: initiating a shutdown process of the refrigeration system; closing a first valve within a refrigerant circuit of the refrigeration system; operating a compressor within the refrigerant circuit; detecting a suction pressure within the refrigerant circuit; closing a second valve within the refrigerant circuit of the refrigeration system when the suction pressure is below a threshold suction pressure; and stopping operation of the compressor.

RELEASABLE LOCKING MECHANISM FOR A REFRIGERATED APPLIANCE

A releasable locking mechanism for a refrigerated unit. A latch plate is movable between a position that can be engaged by a deadbolt and a position clear of the deadbolt. The latch plate is moved by a door release accessible from an interior of the refrigerated unit. When the door release is activated, a pin blocks movement of the latch plate so that the refrigerated unit remains unlocked until the pin is reset.

Portable refrigerated cabinet

A system for monitoring and reporting internal refrigeration unit temperatures includes a temperature measuring device for placement within the refrigeration unit. The temperature measuring device has a first temperature sensors situated in a liquid or solid mass (e.g. glycol or glass beads) for measuring an average temperature within the refrigeration unit and/or has a second temperature sensors exposed to ambient air within the refrigeration unit for measuring an instantaneous temperature within the refrigeration unit. A circuit periodically transmits the average temperature and/or the instantaneous temperature from the temperature measuring device to a server where the average temperature and the instantaneous temperature are analyzed to determine and/or predict a fault with the refrigeration unit. Upon determination and/or prediction of the fault, an alert is sent to at least one staff member indicating the refrigeration unit and fault.

Parallel loop intermodal container

A refrigerated transport system comprises a body enclosing a refrigerated compartment. A refrigeration system (29) comprises first and second vapor compression loops each having: a refrigerant charge; a compressor (36A,B) for driving the refrigerant of the refrigerant charge; a first heat exchanger (38A,B) positioned to reject heat to an external environment in a cooling mode; and a second heat exchanger (42A,B) positioned to absorb heat from the refrigerated compartment in the cooling mode.

REFRIGERATOR AND CLOUD SERVER OF DIAGNOSING CAUSE OF ABNORMAL STATE

Provided are a refrigerator and a cloud server that diagnose a cause of an abnormal state. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an abnormal state diagnosis unit included in the refrigerator or the cloud server generates information on the abnormal state of the refrigerator based on similarity between stored first group of information and a normal pattern, and a cause diagnosis unit generates, when the abnormal state diagnosis determines that a state of the refrigerator is an abnormal stte, information on cause of the abnormal state based on similarity between stored second group of information and a defect pattern.

Food Safety System for Food Items in Cooled Environments

A food safety system for food items in cooled environments includes a temperature sensor unit having a temperature sensor, a power supply and a data transmission element. The temperature sensor unit is positioned in a cooler, wherein the cooler has a plurality of predefined food item positions. A control center unit having a computer processor and a memory is adapted to execute a deterministic mode function to predict the core temperature change of such a food item on a predefined food item position in said cooler. The deterministic mode function depends on heat transfer parameters related to the predefined food item position of the cooler used, food specific coefficients related to the kind of food item taken from a group of food types, the environment temperature measured by the temperature sensor, and the predicted current core temperature of the food item.
