Refrigeration system leak detection
A refrigeration system includes: a leak sensor disposed within a building and configured to measure an amount of refrigerant that has leaked from the refrigeration system within the building; an estimation module configured to determine an estimated amount of refrigerant that has leaked from the refrigeration system within the building based on the measured amount; and a leak module configured to: determine whether a leak is present in the refrigeration system within the building based on the estimated amount of refrigerant that has leaked from the refrigeration system; and take one or more remedial actions when a leak is present in the refrigeration system within the building.
REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE WATER FILTER WITH EMBEDDED LEAK SENSOR
A water filter for a refrigerator appliance with a sensor embedded in the water filter and related methods of detecting a leak in the refrigerator appliance are provided. Such methods include, and the refrigerator appliance may be configured for, measuring, by the sensor embedded in the water filter, at least one of water pressure in the water filter and flow through the water filter. A rate of change of the at least one of water pressure in the water filter and flow through the water filter over time is calculated. When there is no system demand for water, a leak is detected based on the increase in the rate of change over time.
Refrigerator and method for controlling same
A refrigerator is configured to enable a user to open doors of the refrigerator easily. The refrigerator performs a method for controlling the doors to prevent from opening due to a malfunction.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator according to this embodiment includes: a cabinet having a storage space; a door configured to open and close the storage space; a first display disposed on the door; and a second display spaced apart from the first display, configured to operate to be interlocked with the first display, and having a plurality of light emitting portions.
METHOD OF DIAGNOSING DEVICE HAVING ICE MAKING FUNCTION AND SERVER IMPLEMENTING SAME
Provided herein are methods of diagnosing an electronic device having an ice making function, the method comprising: receiving, by a server, data related to water supply and ice making from the electronic device; based on receiving the data, checking, by the server, one or more of water pressure state, an ice making state, or an ice usage state of the electronic device; based on the checked state, diagnosing, by the server, the electronic device to be in a low water pressure state or an insufficient water supply state; and based on the diagnosis, activating, by the server, a repair-inspection service for the electronic device, or providing a notification service to a user terminal corresponding to the electronic device.
REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE WITH SMART DOOR ALARM
A refrigerator appliance includes a cabinet defining a food storage chamber with a door movably coupled to the cabinet whereby the door is movable between a closed position and an open position. A method of operating the refrigerator appliance may include, or the refrigerator appliance may be operable for, receiving an intentional door open input and disabling a door alarm of the refrigerator appliance in response to the intentional door open input. Such methods or operations may further include automatically re-enabling the door alarm after disabling the door alarm.
REFRIGERATOR
Disclosed is a refrigerator for uniformly illuminating an inner space thereof. The refrigerator includes a cabinet including a storage compartment having a predetermined size, a shelf installed in the storage compartment, the shelf including a light source unit for illuminating an inside of the storage compartment, a transmitter connected to an external power supply for wirelessly transmitting power, the transmitter having a primary resonance frequency within a predetermined range, and a receiver for wirelessly receiving the power from the transmitter so as to supply the power to the light source unit of the shelf, the transmitter transmitting the power to the receiver using a secondary resonance frequency generated when the receiver is located close to the transmitter.
System, method, and apparatus for monitoring refrigeration units
A system for monitoring and reporting internal refrigeration unit temperatures includes a temperature measuring device for placement within the refrigeration unit. The temperature measuring device has a first temperature sensors situated in a liquid or solid mass (e.g. glycol or glass beads) for measuring an average temperature within the refrigeration unit and/or has a second temperature sensors exposed to ambient air within the refrigeration unit for measuring an instantaneous temperature within the refrigeration unit. A circuit periodically transmits the average temperature and/or the instantaneous temperature from the temperature measuring device to a server where the average temperature and the instantaneous temperature are analyzed to determine and/or predict a fault with the refrigeration unit. Upon determination and/or prediction of the fault, an alert is sent to at least one staff member indicating the refrigeration unit and fault.
Parallel loop intermodal container
A refrigerated transport system comprises a body enclosing a refrigerated compartment. A refrigeration system (29) comprises first and second vapor compression loops each having: a refrigerant charge; a compressor (36A,B) for driving the refrigerant of the refrigerant charge; a first heat exchanger (38A,B) positioned to reject heat to an external environment in a cooling mode; and a second heat exchanger (42A,B) positioned to absorb heat from the refrigerated compartment in the cooling mode.
Scent-based spoilage sensing refrigerator
Disclosed are various embodiments for determining whether food in a refrigerator has spoiled. In one embodiment, a refrigerator includes a compartment that has an interior space configured to contain a food item. A chemical sensor can be mounted within an interior of the refrigerator. The chemical sensor can be configured to at least measure an amount of a chemical related to spoilage of the food item in the compartment.
