Applications of liquid tank as fresh food evaporator
An appliance having a storage tank disposed on its back surface wherein the storage tank includes a front cover and a back cover that matingly engages the front cover to form a liquid tight seal with the front cover. The storage tank further includes a phase-changing material disposed within the storage tank and a heat exchanger containing refrigerant tubing which transfers cooling from refrigerant tubing to the phase-changing solution. The storage tank, when fully charged with cooling capacity, maintains the food storage compartment at a temperature of 45 F. or less for at least 8 hours without activating a compressor.
Devices for use with refrigeration devices including temperature-controlled container systems
A refrigeration device includes a thermal transfer unit with an evaporative region, an adiabatic region, and a condensing region with a reversible valve attached to the adiabatic region. The device includes a container sealed around PCM, with a set of refrigeration coils of a compressor unit in thermal contact with the PCM. A storage region is in thermal contact with the evaporative region of the thermal transfer unit. A controller is operably connected to the reversible valve and the refrigeration compressor unit. The storage region can be used to store cold packs within a predetermined temperature range for medical outreach.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes a cabinet, a first inner case that defines a freezing compartment, a second inner case that defines a refrigerating compartment, a thermal siphon unit that is configured to carry a working fluid for heat transfer and that has a closed loop shape that includes a first part arranged at an outer side of the first inner case and a second part arranged at an outer side of the second inner case, and a cool air storage unit arranged in a space partitioned in the first inner case. The cool air storage unit is configured to accommodate cool air of the freezing compartment and transfer the cool air to the first part of the thermal siphon unit arranged outside of the first inner case.
METHOD FOR PREPARING A TRANSPORT CONTAINER
The invention relates to a method for preparing a transport container which has an accommodation space for goods to be transported, said accommodation space being insulated by external thermal insulation. At an equipment site, the accommodation space is equipped with preconditioned, main latent heat storage elements necessary for a target heat capacity. In addition to the preconditioned, main latent heat storage elements, the accommodation space is also equipped with further thermal energy storage elements, the auxiliary energy storage elements, which are preconditioned to a specified temperature. This means that a longer transfer time period can be allowed after equipping and before filling the accommodation space with the goods to be transported, such that, from the filling time, the full target time period within the desired target temperature range is available for transporting the goods to be transported.
COLD STORAGE DEVICE
An electronic paper display is used for an ice-lined cold storage device to display data from the device's data system and/or from an external network.
THERMALLY INSULATED TRANSPORT CONTAINER
The invention relates to a thermally insulated transport container (1). The invention is characterized in that the central refrigerated goods chamber (40) is surrounded by a plurality of decentralized refrigerated goods chambers (41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46), the decentralized refrigerated goods chambers are connected or can be connected to the central refrigerated goods chamber (40) via a respective transfer gate (41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46), and the central refrigerated goods chamber (40) is equipped with a tubular ring slide device (6, 6) that can be rotated about a central axis (X) and has at least one transfer opening (65), which can be brought into register with a respective transfer gate by rotating the ring slide device (6, 6), in the peripheral wall (62) of the ring slide device, thereby forming a passage from a paired decentralized refrigerated goods chamber to the central refrigerated goods chamber (40).
Cocktail shaker and chiller apparatus
An apparatus for accommodating a beverage includes an outer vessel defining a vessel cavity for receiving a cooling agent, a container having a lid and a beverage receptacle and a port. The lid is configured for engagement with the outer vessel to releasably mount the container to the outer vessel. The beverage receptacle defines a receptacle chamber for accommodating a liquid beverage for consumption by a user. The receptacle chamber is isolated from the vessel cavity. The beverage receptacle comprises a thermal conductive material and is at least partially disposed within the vessel cavity of the outer vessel when the container is mounted to the outer vessel whereby thermal energy is transferred from the cooling agent to the liquid beverage. The port defines a port opening in fluid communication with the receptacle chamber to permit distribution of the liquid beverage to the user. The outer vessel and mounted container may be positioned within a freezing apparatus to freeze the cooling agent, e.g., water about the beverage receptacle.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED CASE AND TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED PACKAGE INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a temperature controlled case. The temperature controlled case includes a base and a stepped portion protruding from an upper surface of the base, wherein the stepped portion has a rectangular shape having a major axis and a minor axis in top plan view, a height of the base is the same as a maximum height of the stepped portion protruding from the base, and maximum distances from an edge of the base to the stepped portion in the major axis and minor axis directions are the same as the height of the base or the maximum height of the stepped portion.
Thermal modification device
A thermal modification device for modifying the skin temperature of a user, the thermal modification device including: a first elongated flexible container including a first substance disposed therein and a first wall and a second wall, wherein the first substance is a fluid having thermal properties of a first substance; and a second elongated flexible container including a second substance disposed therein and a first wall and a second wall, wherein the second substance is a fluid having thermal properties of a second substance, wherein a ratio of the mass of the first substance and the mass of the second substance is at least one of about 0.22 and about 0.31, the first elongated flexible container and the second elongated flexible container are disposed with the second wall of the first elongated flexible container disposed in contacting relationship with the first wall of the second elongated flexible container.
