A refrigerator includes a main body that defines a storage space, a door configured to open or close the storage space, and a dispenser located in the door and configured to dispense cooled water and purified water. The refrigerator also includes a purified water input part that inputs a command for dispensing the purified water, a cooled water input part that inputs a command for dispensing the cooled water, and a dispensing amount input part that sets an amount of purified water to be dispensed based on the purified water being selected through the purified water input part. The refrigerator further includes a filter device located within the storage space to purify water supplied from a water supply source, and a water tank storing water that has passed through the filter device in a cooled state.

Disclosed is a refrigerator having an improved rear structure of a door. The refrigerator includes a main body including a storage compartment, a door rotatably coupled to the main body to open and close the storage compartment, a dispenser provided on a front surface of the door, a case mounted on a rear surface of the door and accommodating a water tank disposed adjacent to the dispenser to store water supplied to the dispenser, and a filter including a filter body disposed below the water tank in a transverse direction, and a filter handle configured to allow the filter body to be inserted or withdrawn through an inner side surface of the door from the inside of the case.

In one embodiment, a refrigerator comprises a plurality of ice makers configured to generate ice, a valve part configured to adjust a supply of water to each of the plurality of ice makers, and a controller configured to control the valve part, and when receiving a request for a supply of water to an ice maker of higher priority while water is supplied to an ice maker of lower priority, the controller controls the valve part to cut off the supply of water to the ice maker of lower priority and supply water to the ice maker of higher priority.

Disclosed herein is a refrigerator, and more particularly, to a refrigerator including a water supply system. The refrigerator includes a main body including a storage compartment, and a water supply assembly disposed in the storage compartment. The water supply assembly includes a first filter mounting portion provided to allow a first filter to be mounted thereon, and a second filter mounting portion provided to allow a second filter to be mounted thereon, and including a residual water guide configured to guide residual water in the second filter mounting portion to the first filter mounting portion.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet that includes a refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment. The refrigerator includes a refrigerator compartment door that is located at a left or a right side of the refrigerator compartment, wherein an ice maker and a dispenser are located at the refrigerator compartment door. A refrigerator and a method of controlling the same, the refrigerator including: a main body including a storage compartment; a door to open and close the storage compartment; and a beverage provider arrangeable with respect to the main body or the door. The beverage provider including: a water supplying unit; a storage to store water supplied by the water supplying unit; a filter, arrangeable inside the storage, and accommodate beverage powder so that ingredients from the beverage powder accommodated in filter are leached into the water; a sensor to obtain information related to a concentration of a beverage produced to contain the ingredients of the beverage powder in the water; and a processor configured to identify the concentration of the beverage based on the obtained information, and control the water supplying unit to supply the water in an amount which is adjusted based on the identified concentration.

In an ice maker, a controller is operatively connected to the ice maker's water system to determine a parameter indicative of a total amount of water filtered by a replaceable filter cartridge. Based on the determined parameter, the controller can provide a numerical indication of the total amount of water filtered by the replaceable filter cartridge. Based on the determined parameter, the controller can determine that the replaceable filter cartridge requires replacement. The parameter can be determined based on the amount of time a water inlet valve is opened and/or a water pressure signal. The controller can take action when it determines that the water filter needs replacement, for example, by making a local alarm indication, pushing a remote notification, or making an automated purchase transaction for a new filter cartridge.

A refrigerator including a main body having a storeroom, an inner door rotatably coupled to the main body and having a door opening, an outer door rotatably arranged in front of the inner door to open or close the door opening, a dispenser including a water-intake space and an operation lever and configured to supply water to the water-intake space by manipulation of the operation lever, and an automatic water supplier including a water container installation space formed to have a water container mounted and a water level sensor configured to detect a water level of the water container, and configured to supply water into the water container to fill the water container with a certain amount of water. The water-intake space and the water container installation space may be arranged in the door opening of the inner door to be accessed while the inner door is closed.
