A refrigerator including a main body having a storeroom, an inner door rotatably coupled to the main body and having a door opening, an outer door rotatably arranged in front of the inner door to open or close the door opening, a dispenser including a water-intake space and an operation lever and configured to supply water to the water-intake space by manipulation of the operation lever, and an automatic water supplier including a water container installation space formed to have a water container mounted and a water level sensor configured to detect a water level of the water container, and configured to supply water into the water container to fill the water container with a certain amount of water. The water-intake space and the water container installation space may be arranged in the door opening of the inner door to be accessed while the inner door is closed.

A refrigerator including a main body having a storeroom, an inner door rotatably coupled to the main body and having a door opening, an outer door rotatably arranged in front of the inner door to open or close the door opening, a dispenser including a water-intake space and an operation lever and configured to supply water to the water-intake space by manipulation of the operation lever, and an automatic water supplier including a water container installation space formed to have a water container mounted and a water level sensor configured to detect a water level of the water container, and configured to supply water into the water container to fill the water container with a certain amount of water. The water-intake space and the water container installation space may be arranged in the door opening of the inner door to be accessed while the inner door is closed.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a chilled chamber, an enclosure housing positioned within the chilled chamber, the enclosure housing defining an enclosure and a docking port configured for receiving a water filter, and a door assembly for providing selective access to the enclosure. The door assembly includes an access door pivotally mounted to the enclosure housing, a guide pin mounted to the enclosure housing, a guide bar having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the first end being pivotally mounted to the access door and the second end defining a slot having the guide pin slidably received therein, a friction washer mounted on the guide pin adjacent the guide bar; and a spring member mounted on the guide pin and being configured for urging the friction washer against the guide bar to resist motion of the access door.

A refrigerator includes: a cabinet in which a refrigerating compartment is provided; a first door connected to the cabinet to open and close the refrigerating compartment and having an opening; a housing provided in the first door and accessible through the opening therein; an ice making room provided in the housing; a storage room that is provided below the ice making room and maintained at a temperature different from that of the refrigerating compartment; a guide duct provided below the ice making room to guide discharge of ice; a second door connected to the first door; a dispenser disposed on a front surface of the second door; and a discharge duct provided in the second door, wherein, when the second door is closed, the guide duct communicates with the discharge duct, and ice made in the ice making room is discharged to the dispenser.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a chilled chamber, an enclosure housing positioned within the chilled chamber, the enclosure housing defining an enclosure and a docking port configured for receiving a water filter, and a door assembly for providing selective access to the enclosure. The door assembly includes an access door pivotally mounted to the enclosure housing, a guide pin mounted to the enclosure housing, a guide bar having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the first end being pivotally mounted to the access door and the second end defining a slot having the guide pin slidably received therein, a friction washer mounted on the guide pin adjacent the guide bar; and a spring member mounted on the guide pin and being configured for urging the friction washer against the guide bar to resist motion of the access door.
Water filter purge indication
A refrigeration system includes a water circulation system and a replaceable water filter. The refrigerator includes a sensor that determines if a water filter is present, and a user interface that prompts a user to purge a water filter upon installation of a new water filter in the refrigerator. The water filter may include a memory storage device that stores information concerning the allowable life of the water filter, the remaining life of the water filter, and other information. Information concerning the remaining life of the water filter and other information can be displayed or otherwise communicated to a user by the user interface.
FILTER UNIT AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
Provided are a filter unit which may easily replace a filter, and a refrigerator including the same. To this end, a filter unit according to the present disclosure includes a filter which purifies water, a filter head which is disposed on one end portion of the filter, and includes an inlet port which supplies raw water to the filter and is formed to protrude from one side thereof, and an outlet port which discharges pure water purified by the filter and is formed to protrude from the other side thereof, a filter housing which is formed with a filter accommodation space in which the filter is accommodated, a filter bracket which is coupled to the filter housing, and includes an inlet port coupling part to which the inlet port is coupled rotatably, and an outlet portion coupling part to which the outlet port is coupled rotatably, and a filter door which is coupled to the filter housing to open and close the filter accommodation space.

A filter cartridge for a domestic cooling appliance includes a beaker-shaped housing which is provided at an open end with a coupling for securing to a filter head, and a particle filter insert which is received in the housing. The particle filter insert is guided movably along an axis of the housing between an abutment position, in which it is embedded completely in the housing, and a position in which it at least partially protrudes from the housing. A domestic refrigeration appliance having the filter cartridge is also provided.

The refrigerator includes a main water tank that is located in the refrigerator compartment, and that is configured to cool water. The refrigerator includes a water purifying device that is located at the cabinet, and that is configured to purify water. The refrigerator includes a sub-water tank that is located on the refrigerator compartment door, and that is configured to additionally cool water cooled by the main water tank. The refrigerator includes a water supply path that is defined by connections between the water purifying device, the main water tank, the sub-water tank, the dispenser, and the ice maker.
