Shelf assembly with specific front shelf, and household cooling appliance

A shelf assembly for installation in a household cooling appliance has a first shelf plate with a rear edge profile and a separate second shelf. A carrier frame for supporting the shelves has a guiding for the first shelf. The carrier frame has first and second side bars on which the guiding is arranged. The rear edge profile has a laterally protruding guiding pin that is coupled to the guiding. Guiding lay-ons are arranged in front of the second shelf at the side bars. The first shelf rests on the strip-shaped guiding lay-ons upon shifting and it is completely exposed to the top in the surface area of the guiding lay-ons. The first shelf has a front length half guided only by resting on the guiding lay-ons, and the guiding lay-ons extend over at least 90% of the length of the first shelf in the depth direction.

REFRIGERATOR

A refrigerator has a moving basket. The refrigerator includes a door, a rail member, and a roller member. The door opens and closes a cabinet and has a separate storage room. The rail member is received in a rail receiving part provided at each of left and right opposite sides of the storage room and has a space therein. The roller member is coupled to the rail member so that the basket lifts and lowers along the rail member in the storage room. The insertion hole is defined by being open at the left and right opposite sides of the storage room corresponding to the rail receiving part. The insertion hole defines the trajectory of the lifting and lowering of the basket. The cover member is provided inside the rail receiving part and covers the insertion hole by being lifted and lowered during the lifting and lowering of the basket.

Adjustable shelf assembly

An adjustable shelf assembly including a number of mounting members and an adjustable shelf. The number of mounting members are provided with a main body and a number of fingers extending from the main body. The number of fingers collectively define a number of interstices disposed interstitially between adjacent fingers of the number of fingers. A first finger of the number of fingers define an aperture configured to receive a shelf of the refrigerator. The adjustable shelf is configured to be inserted into one or more of the interstices so that adjustable shelf is detachably connected to one or more of the number of interstices.

A refrigerator appliance or a variable shelf assembly, as provided herein, may include a selectively-sealed shelf tube, a support piston, a shelving bracket, a first valve, and a second valve. The selectively-sealed shelf tube may define a fluid inlet to receive water therethrough and a fluid outlet to exhaust water therethrough. The support piston may be slidably disposed within the selectively-sealed shelf tube to move between a top position and a base position according to a volume of water within the selectively-sealed shelf tube. The shelving bracket may be fixed to the support piston to move therewith. The first valve may be upstream from the fluid inlet to selectively permit water thereto. The second valve may be downstream from the fluid outlet to selectively permit water from the variable shelf assembly.

Refrigerator with magnetic bin system

A refrigerator includes a housing defining an interior compartment with an open side and a door rotatably coupled with the housing and selectively closing at least a portion of the open side. The door includes an interior liner defining an attachment surface and at least one first magnetic component adjacent the attachment surface. The refrigerator further includes a storage component defining a mounting surface having an area smaller than the attachment surface. The storage component includes a second magnetic component adjacent the mounting surface and removably retaining the mounting surface of the storage component to the attachment surface of the door by mutual attraction between the at least one first magnetic component and the second magnetic component.

REFRIGERATOR WITH AN ADJUSTABLE BIN

Rack systems, devices, and methods for attaching and providing foldable storage racks underneath refrigerator shelves or cabinets or other shelves for suspending, storing and separating wine bottles and beverage cans and plates. The storage racks can include a plurality of bail cradles each having ends pivotally attached to brackets. The bail cradles can have concave support surfaces for supporting and separating bottles and cans. The bail cradles can have ribbed upper surfaces for allowing a shelf/tray to slide thereon. The racks can have pivotal vertical legs with a slide out drawer on lower ends of the legs. The racks can be used for storing other items such as computer keyboards and the like, used with desks, tables, and the like. The foldable storage racks can have horizontally adjustable and vertical adjustable clamp ends for allowing the assemblies to be mounted to the front and rear ends of different length, different width and different thickness refrigerator shelves.

SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR AN APPLIANCE

A support assembly includes a support surface configured to selectively transition between a stowed position, a deployed position, and an intermediate position defined between the stowed position and the deployed position. A retention feature is operably coupled to the support surface and is configured to transition the support surface between the stowed position and the deployed position. The retention feature includes a projection about which the support surface pivots to define a pivot axis. A bracket is coupled to the support surface and is configured to distribute a load along the support assembly in the intermediate position and the deployed position.

Refrigerator having scissors lift for drawer

A refrigerator may be configured such that a drawer is opened by an opening/closing motor operating by inputting a manipulation of a user and a lifting unit is elevated by a lifting motor, and then the opening/closing motor is again operated, thereby allowing the drawer to be normally closed. After the drawer is normally closed, the opening/closing motor is further operated in a closed direction of the drawer to close the drawer once more to prevent an unintentional slight-opening of the drawer.
