A shelf assembly for a refrigerator includes a frame assembly having front and rear frame members with respective front and rear channels. A panel includes first and second ends, wherein the first end is fully received in the front channel, and further wherein the second end is partially received in the rear channel. A spacer assembly includes a spacer member and one or more clip members extending upwardly from a base portion. The clip members are clipped to mounting apertures disposed on the second portion of the rear frame member. The spacer member is received through a receiving aperture disposed through the rear frame member. The spacer member extends into the rear channel and engages the second end of the panel when the spacer assembly is clipped to the rear frame member to retain the panel in the channels of the front and rear frame members.

A shelf for a domestic refrigeration appliance includes an upper cover plate, a lower cover plate and a frame in which the cover plates are disposed. An intermediate space is formed between the cover plates as a thermally insulated space. A channel for conducting media is provided in the frame separately from the intermediate space. A domestic refrigeration appliance having the shelf is also provided.

A refrigerator appliance includes a liner defining a cavity having a back wall and opposing first and second sidewalls. An elongate shelf-support ladder is arranged vertically on the back wall and positioned centrally. A central arm has a rear portion attached to the ladder such that the arm is cantilevered from the ladder. A shelf assembly is supported by the central arm and includes a first shelf surface located between the first sidewall and the arm and a second shelf surface located between the second sidewall and the arm.

A refrigeration apparatus and a luminous shelf assembly therefor are provided. The luminous shelf assembly includes: two electrical conductive elements extending along a vertical direction, each electrical conductive element having at least one electrical conductive bar; a shelf comprising a glass plate and a rear decoration strip, the rear decoration strip having an accommodating cavity which has an open rear side and a front side wall being provided with a plurality of light holes; an LED light bar having a plurality of LED lights corresponding to the plurality of light holes respectively, and the LED light bar being accommodated in the accommodating cavity and having a positive power line and a negative power line respectively extending outwards from two ends of its own; and two energizing sub-assemblies connected to the two ends of the LED light bar and connected with the positive power line and the negative power line respectively.

A refrigeration device includes a storage area which is delimited by a body and a door and which is subdivided by a shelf into an upper and a lower compartment. A drawer is accommodated in the lower compartment. In a stop position of the drawer in which it is pushed into the lower compartment, a front wall of the drawer bears against a front edge of the shelf. A closure element can be moved across a passage or opening in the shelf between a position which blocks the passage and a position which opens the passage over at least part of its cross section.

The specification discloses a method for containing spills on shelving and the like, and the resulting support members made in accordance with the method, by providing the generally flat top surface of a support with a hydrophobic surface which is arranged in a spill containment pattern and which is generally in the plane of the top surface of the support. A domestic appliance device, particularly a domestic refrigerator device, has at least one appliance body with at least one a rear wall, at least one shelf unit, and at least one retainer unit provided for retaining the shelf unit. In order to improve properties with respect to advantageous shelf unit retention, the retainer unit has at least one retainer element whose main extension direction extends, in at least one operating state, at least substantially parallel to the rear wall and at least substantially in a horizontal direction.

A refrigerator shelving system includes a nest, a boss, and a shelf. The boss extends outward from the shelf. The boss is configured to engage the nest to maintain the shelf in a stowed position. The boss is configured to disengage the nest to transition the shelf to an operational position.
