Refrigerator
A refrigerator is provided. The refrigerator includes: a cabinet having a cabinet liner; a partition plate assembly disposed in the cabinet liner and configured to partition an inner space of the cabinet liner into a plurality of compartments spaced apart from one another; and a door having a door liner, mounted to the cabinet, and configured to open or close the plurality of compartments simultaneously, in which the door liner is configured to be sealingly fitted with the partition plate assembly so as to isolate the plurality of compartments hermetically.
Appliance modular system for incorporating a pantry compartment within an appliance
A refrigerating appliance includes an interior volume divided by a medial wall into refrigerating and freezing compartments. A horizontal false mullion extends through one of the compartments, parallel with the medial wall to define a pantry compartment in thermal communication with at least one of the refrigerating and freezing compartments. A center vertical mullion is removably engaged with the medial wall and divides the pantry compartment into first and second pantry sub compartments. First and second outer drawer glides are positioned on the cabinet structure within the pantry compartment and opposite first and second inner drawer glides of the center vertical mullion. The first inner and first outer drawer glides partially define the first pantry sub compartment. The second inner and second outer drawer glides partially define the second pantry sub compartment. First and second pantry drawers are slidably engaged with first and second pantry sub compartments, respectively.
Horizontal flipper mullion incorporated within a false mullion of an appliance
An appliance includes a cabinet having outer walls that define a portion of a contact surface. Operable panels are engaged with the cabinet and operate between closed and open positions. A lateral mullion is pivotally attached to a mullion panel of the plurality of operable panels and is operable between contact and tucked positions. When the mullion panel is in the closed position, an outer surface of the lateral mullion is in the vertically pointed contact position and defines a portion of the contact surface to receive a seal of the mullion panel and selectively receive a seal of a vertically adjacent panel. Movement of the mullion panel to the open position rotates the lateral mullion about a horizontal axis to define the tucked position such that the mullion panel can move to the open position free of operation of the vertically adjacent panel.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a cabinet including a refrigerator compartment, and a freezer compartment provided under the refrigerator compartment; a refrigerator compartment door rotationally connected to the front side of the cabinet to open/close the refrigerator compartment and including an ice compartment for storing ice; an ice bank which is provided to the ice compartment and stores ice; an icemaker which comprises an upper tray forming a hemispherical upper cell, a lower tray forming a hemispherical lower cell, and a rotating shaft for rotating the lower tray, and which is provided in the freezer compartment; a housing which accommodates the icemaker in an upper space thereof and has an ice collector, provided to a lower part thereof, for collecting ice separated from the icemaker; an ice transfer duct for connecting the housing and the ice bank; and an ice transfer device for transferring the ice collected in the ice collector to the ice bank along the ice transfer duct, wherein the ice transfer device can include: a transfer cable; a pusher connected to an end of the transfer cable; and a transfer case for accommodating the transfer cable which is wound therein.
Higher efficiency appliance employing thermal load shifting in refrigerators having horizontal mullion
An appliance includes a cabinet; a first compartment; and a second compartment. The first compartment and the second compartment are separated by a horizontal mullion. The cabinet also typically includes a coolant system that has: a single compressor for regulating a temperature of the first compartment and a temperature of the second compartment operably connected to at least one evaporator; a shared coolant fluid connection system; and a coolant fluid spaced within the shared coolant fluid connection system used to regulate both the temperature of the first compartment and the second compartment. The compressor can provide the shared coolant at least two different pressures to at least one evaporator using the shared coolant fluid connection circuit. The ratio of the substantially steady state heat gain for the first compartment to the substantially steady state total heat gain for the overall cabinet is about 0.65:1 or greater.
Refrigerator work surface
A refrigeration appliance includes an appliance housing. A liner within the appliance housing provides an upper interior storage chamber and a lower interior storage chamber. The upper interior storage chamber and the lower interior storage chamber are separated by a mullion. An upper movable closure is movable between an open position providing access to the lower interior storage chamber, and a closed position closing the upper interior storage chamber. A lower movable closure is movable between an open position providing access to the lower interior storage chamber, and a closed position closing the lower interior storage chamber. The mullion forms a storage pocket, and the refrigeration appliance further includes a deployable shelf configured to be withdrawn from the storage pocket in the mullion.
STRUCTURAL STANCHION FOR A CABINET OF AN APPLIANCE
An appliance includes a cabinet having first and second sidewalls and an interior mullion extending therebetween, wherein the first and second sidewalls and the interior mullion define a plurality of interior compartments. First and second stanchions define vertical structural members of the first and second sidewalls, respectively. The first stanchion includes a first medial flange that extends partially into the interior mullion. The first medial flange defines a first hinge attachment point, and a distal end of the first medial flange is positioned proximate a first hinge.
REFRIGERATOR
Disclosed is a refrigerator an outer case, an inner case including storage spaces integrally manufactured so as to have a first set value, a barrier disposed within the storage space to vertically divide the storage space into a plurality of storage chambers so that the heights of openings of the respective storage chambers have a second set value and a third set value, and including first communication parts on the side surfaces of the barrier, second communication parts formed on the inner case, and a foamed heat insulating material filling the inside of the barrier by causing a foaming liquid, injected from the outer case, to pass through the second communication parts and the first communication parts and then foaming the foaming liquid within the barrier, wherein the first set value is 1.5 times or more at least one of the second set value and the third set value.
A refrigerator is provided including a main body having a storage chamber, a door coupled with the front surface of the main body, to open or close the storage chamber, and a case having a rear surface facing the rear surface of the door the front part of the case having an opening. A door guide is in the case. A sliding apparatus enables the door guide to slide to be inserted into or pulled out of the case through the opening and includes a guide rail at a bottom of the door guide, an inclined guide portion in the case to guide the guide rail, a fixing rib at the rear end of the guide portion including a streamlined shape at the front end of the fixing rib and a supporting rib in the door guide supported by the fixing rib to prevent the door guide from moving.
