HEATER IN A VARIABLE CLIMATE ZONE COMPARTMENT

A temperature control system for a refrigerator. The temperature control system is positioned in a refrigerated compartment and fluidly communicates with a cooling fan. The temperature control system includes a vertical partition having a front surface and a rear surface. The rear surface faces a rear wall of the refrigerated compartment and the front surface faces an open end of the refrigerated compartment. An air passage is formed in the vertical partition extending from a lower portion of the vertical partition to an upper portion of the vertical partition. A heater assembly is disposed between the front surface and the rear surface of the vertical partition proximate the air passage wherein air conveyed along the air passage is heated by the heater assembly when the heater assembly is energized.

Appliance having an articulating mullion and damping assembly

An appliance may include a cabinet, a door, a mullion, and a damping assembly. The cabinet may define a chamber. The door may be coupled to the cabinet and rotatable between an open position and a closed position to selectively seal the chamber. The mullion may have an inner face and an outer face. The mullion may be rotatably coupled to the door via a hinge defining an axial direction between a first position and a second position. The damping assembly may include a stopper wedge and a mated wedge. The stopper wedge may be fixed to the door. The stopper wedge may have a primary face extending along a nonparallel angle relative to the longitudinal plane. The mated wedge may be fixed to the mullion. The mated wedge may have a receiving face complementary to the primary face of the stopper wedge to engage therewith in the first position.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet structure having an exterior wrapper and a liner operably coupled to one another to define an insulating space therebetween. The cabinet structure includes a refrigerator compartment. A water storage system includes a first portion disposed within the insulating space and a second portion fluidically coupled to the first portion and positioned within the refrigerator compartment. The first portion of the water storage system is exposed to a temperature level of the insulating space, and the second portion of the water storage system is exposed to a temperature level of the refrigerator compartment that is lower than the temperature level of the insulating space to define a thermal gradient therebetween.

Refrigerator having compartments cooled to different internal temperatures

A first storage compartment's influence on a second storage compartment, when the first storage compartment and the second storage compartment have different temperature ranges and are cooled by a single cooler, is reduced. A refrigerator includes a compressor for compressing and circulating a refrigerant, a cooler provided to generate cold air through circulation of the refrigerant, a first storage compartment having an temperature maintained within a first range, a second storage compartment having an temperature maintained within a second range different from the first range, a first air passage for guiding cold air generated in the cooler to the first storage compartment, a second air passage for guiding cold air generated in the cooler to the second storage compartment, and a switching unit for guiding the cold air generated in the cooler to selectively flow into any one of the first air passage and the second air passage.

A refrigerated merchandising cabinet comprises an insulated casing, an interior of which forms a product display chamber. Refrigeration apparatus for generating and delivering a cold airstream through the product display chamber to cool the product display chamber is mounted on top of the casing. Access doors are mounted at a front of the casing to provide access to the product display chamber. Each access door is mounted on the casing by means of an inner frame forming an integral part of the casing and defining an access opening at the front of the casing and a complementary outer frame which is demountably engaged with the inner frame. Each door is hingedly mounted on the outer frame.

Household refrigeration appliance with a door stop bar having a heating line thermally coupled thereto by a heat conducting transmission medium

A household refrigeration appliance has a housing in which there is embodied a receiving space for foodstuffs, a first door and a second door separate therefrom. The doors closing a front-side receiving opening of the receiving space to the front. A door stop bar is disposed externally to the doors which is arranged in the receiving opening and is connected by a first end to a first boundary wall and by a second end to a second boundary wall. Wherein in the closed state the doors abut against the door stop bar on the front side, and have a frame heating which is arranged on the door stop bar for the purpose of heating the door stop bar. A heating line of the frame heating is arranged behind a front panel of the door stop bar and is thermally coupled to the front panel by the heat-conducting transmission medium.

WATER PREFILLING ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN A REFRIGERATING APPLIANCE

A fluid delivery system for an appliance includes a fluid line in selective communication with a fluid source. A shelf defines a fill zone positioned below an underside of the shelf. A shelf spigot is coupled with the fluid line and disposed proximate the underside of the shelf and over the fill zone. A fluid level sensor is positioned in communication with the fill zone. The fluid level sensor is also in communication with a controller that regulates a flow of fluid through the shelf spigot.
