Method and system for controlling use of a portable cooling container
11125493 · 2021-09-21 · ·

An illustrative example method of controlling use of a portable cooling container includes determining at least one characteristic of an amount of use of the cooling container. The at least one characteristic is determined by at least one of a processor at a location remote from the cooling container and a container controller of the cooling container. A relationship between the at least one characteristic and continued use of the cooling container is determined. An indication to a user of the cooling container is provided regarding continued use of the cooling container based on the determined relationship.

Method of stacking refrigerated shipping containers

Method of stacking refrigerated shipping containers (10) including categorizing a plurality of refrigerated shipping containers (10) as a low temperature container (L) or a high temperature container (H), each of the refrigerated shipping containers (10) having a condenser (16). The method also includes disposing the plurality of refrigerated shipping containers (10) relative to each other based on the temperature categorization of the refrigerated shipping containers (10).

A trunk cooler removably connected under a seat of a vehicle, the trunk cooler including a base cooler receptacle to store at least one item therein, a plurality of retractable legs disposed on a bottom surface of the base cooler receptacle to support the base cooler receptacle in response to moving the plurality of retractable legs from being retracted in a first vertical position to at least partially extended in a second vertical position, and a cooling system to inject cold air into an interior portion of the base cooler.

Cooling Unit
20210307200 · 2021-09-30 ·

A cooling unit enabled to maintain the internal temperature for an extended period of time without an outside electrical power is described. The cooling unit uses a combination of a battery (or one or more battery backs) and one or more phase change materials (“PCM”). In addition, the cooling unit uses one or more airpaths to force cooled air over a group of PCM to maintain the PCM for the event when an external electrical power is discontinued and the power from the battery pack is also depleted. The forced air through one of more airpaths may be always used or only when the cooling unit is operated by only the battery power.
