Portable apparatus and methods using phase change materials for creating a temperature stabilized environment
A carrying case utilizes a layer of phase change materials and a thermal insulation layer in order to provide a temperature-stabilized environment for enclosed payloads such as musical instruments during transport through an environment in which temperatures differ greatly from those to which they are normally exposed. In one aspect, the phase change materials and thermal insulation provide an extended period of temperature constancy, without the addition of either active thermal control or excessively bulky insulation.
Quick release handle including lights and sound
A drawer assembly for an appliance includes a drawer front including a retainer post extending from the drawer front, a handle including an indicator assembly, an attachment assembly for removably attaching the handle to the drawer front, and an electrical connection assembly passing through the attachment assembly to provide electrical power to the indicator assembly.
DOMESTIC REFRIGERATION DEVICE HAVING A CONTROL ELEMENT DESIGNED WITH AN INTEGRATED DISPLAY UNIT FOR ACTUATING A COVER OF A FOOD STORAGE CONTAINER
A domestic refrigeration device has an internal space for receiving foodstuffs, which is bounded by walls of an internal container, and a storage container for foodstuffs that is arranged in the internal space and can be closed with a lid. The refrigerator further has a mounting device with which the lid is mounted in the internal space such that it can be raised and lowered for opening and closing the food storage container. A control element is provided by which the lid can be actuated, wherein the control element for actuating the lid can be actuated along an actuation path and the lid can be positioned, in dependence on a position of the control element, in a first closed position and at least in a second fully open position. The control element itself has a display unit for displaying symbolic information depending on the position of the lid.
Home appliance having a main processor to control power to a sub-processor based on a door state, and controlling method thereof
A home appliance includes a door sensor; a display; a main processor; a sub-processor configured to control a display operation of the display; and a power control element configured to be connected to the sub-processor, wherein the main processor is configured to: generate a control signal for turning on or off power of the sub-processor based on information sensed by the door sensor, and turn on or off the power of the sub-processor by controlling the power control element according to the control signal.
PORTABLE COOLER
A portable cooler container is provided. The temperature control system cools a chamber of the container to transport temperature sensitive contents via the container. An electronic display screen on one of the lid and the container body selectively displays an electronic shipping label for the portable cooler container.
Beverage containers and coolants therefore
The device includes a container (10) having a top (12) and a bottom (14). A receptacle (15) is formed in the container and joined to an orifice (22) at the bottom (14). A cooling medium (26) is contained within the receptacle and able to retain a cooling environment to cool the beverage. In one embodiment, a beverage container has an opening (72) that permits the emptying of the beverage from the container and a coolant capsule (73) within said container. The cooling capsule (73) contains a cooling medium and the capsule is dimensioned such that the capsule is larger than the opening (72) but has surface characteristics (77,78) which permit the beverage within the container to bypass the capsule (73) and to exit the opening.
Dual Redundant Cooling System For A Container
A dual redundant cooling system for a container is provided. The dual redundant cooling system includes a first cooling unit and a second cooling unit. The first cooling unit is positioned in a first cabinet attached to the container. The first cooling unit includes a first controller operating a first cooling loop to cool an interior of the container. The second cooling unit is positioned in a second cabinet attached to the container and adjacent the first cabinet. The second cooling unit includes a second controller operating a second cooling loop to cool the interior of the container. The first cooling unit and the first cooling loop are separate from the second cooling unit and the second cooling loop. The first controller and the second controller communicate a switch signal between each other so that either the first cooling unit is a primary cooling unit operating the first cooling loop or the second cooling unit is the primary cooling unit operating the second cooling loop. The switch signal switching the primary cooling unit.
Appliance door handles with integrated graphical displays
A graphical display device for mounting to a door of an appliance includes an electronic visual display having a display screen, a housing having a receptacle for receiving the electronic visual display and a mount for affixing the housing to the door of an appliance. The housing additionally includes an internal cavity with a controller retained within the internal cavity, with the controller being operable to selectively enable visual display information to be displayed on the display screen. In a particular embodiment the graphical display device is configured as a housing with the housing including a grip portion and one or more mounts extending rearwardly from the grip portion. The controller may include an interface enabling connection with a remote computer for controlling the visual display information to be displayed on the display screen.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS
An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display device and a display apparatus, the display device includes: a transparent structure and a display screen; the transparent structure including a first light transmission plate and a second light transmission plate which are oppositely set, edge regions of the first light transmission plate and the second light transmission plate being packaged by a seal assembly, to form a closed cavity; the display screen being set within the closed cavity, and an edge of the display screen being fixed to an inner wall of the closed cavity; the closed cavity being filled with inert gas.
Climate Control Lids
Climate controlling lids (“CCLs”) for regulating and adjusting temperatures in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a CCL configured to receive a receptacle containing a cooling medium is provided, the CCL comprising: a temperature sensor configured to measure an external temperature, wherein the external temperature is a temperature reading external to the CCL and the receptacle; and a fan configured to: intake air from an external space of the CCL, wherein the intake air flows into the receptacle; and discharge air back to the external space of the CCL.
