SYSTEM AND METHOD OF REFRIGERATOR CONTENT TRACKING
20170363348 · 2017-12-21 ·

A system and a method for tracking items stored in a refrigerator which includes the identifying unit comprising a few known devices such as bar code reader or voice command processor for identifying the incoming and outgoing items also including an olfactory sensor. Said sensor in addition to identification is to be used also for assessing the items' degree of freshness for the purpose of determination of its actual expected maximum storage time—this determination will be made by the computer processor accessing the pertinent database(s) while using the digital smell signature for said access, when necessary. Said database will contain the storage data for opened or unpacked or cooked items for which the storage time data on the package is not applicable as well as possibly the items ingredients and the nutritional content. The items actual shelf storage location will be determined by means of the miniature motion detectors in combination with the optical scanners located in each shelf compartment or by means of making the shelves and the horizontal surfaces of compartments electrostatically charged and detecting the capacitative change. On the way in or out the item will be identified and the content of the appropriate section on display will be updated.

Artificial intelligence refrigerator

An artificial intelligence refrigerator includes a communication unit, a camera configured to capture an image of a tray including a plurality of grooves for storing food, and a processor configured to control the communication unit and the camera. The processor extracts a marker hidden by the food of a plurality of markers respectively attached to the plurality of grooves from the captured image of the tray, acquires a position identifier of a groove corresponding to the hidden marker and a reception time indicating that the food is received in the groove, transmits the acquired position identifier and the reception time to a server through the communication unit, receives determined color information from the server based on the reception time, and controls a light emitting element provided in the groove to output a color to be displayed on the groove included in the received color information.

Refrigerator appliance having a movable camera

A refrigerator appliance, as provided herein, may include a cabinet, a door, and a camera module. The cabinet may define a chilled chamber. The door may be rotatably hinged to the cabinet to provide selective access to the chilled chamber. The camera module may be movably mounted to the cabinet (e.g., above a support shelf). The camera module may be movable on the cabinet along a predefined direction between a retracted position proximal to a first end of the cabinet and an extended position proximal to a second end of the cabinet. The camera module may be directed at the chilled chamber in the extended position to capture an image thereof.

Devices, methods, and systems for disinfection with light are disclosed. In some examples, a lighting source is operable to provide light at wavelength range of about 380 nm - 420 nm with an irradiance and/or dosage sufficient for disinfection. One or more sensors and a control system may be used to control operation of the lighting source, such as by adjusting the lighting source in response to various inputs.

CONTROL SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD OF REFRIGERATION ENVIRONMENT IN CLOSED SPACE BASED ON COMPUTER VISION
20230168027 · 2023-06-01 ·

A control system and a control method of refrigeration in a closed space based on computer vision are provided. An image of a food, temperature and humidity information in the closed space are collected, and a type of the food is identified according to the image. The image is processed through Euler video amplification when food is not packaged to obtain surface color distribution information of the food, a state of the food is determined according to the surface color distribution information and a historical learning result, and a state prompt corresponding to the state of the food is provided to a user. Temperature and humidity in the closed space are regulated according to the state of the food. The state of the food is determined according to storage time and a known quality guarantee period when the food is packaged, and another state prompt is provided to the user.

REFRIGERATION SYSTEM WITH IMAGING

In examples, a refrigeration system includes one or more cameras that are positioned to capture images of items before the items are positioned inside the cabinet. The refrigeration system can include one or more moveable racks on which items can be placed. When the rack is moved out, items can be placed on the rack, and the set of cameras can image the rack to determine information about the items placed on the rack.

Method and system for providing information related to a status of an object in a refrigerator

A method of providing information related to a state of an object in a refrigerator includes obtaining a first camera image including at least one object kept in the refrigerator through a camera arranged in the refrigerator, obtaining environmental information in the refrigerator through an environmental sensor arranged in the refrigerator, predicting information related to a current state of the at least one object by applying the first camera image including the at least one object and the environmental information in the refrigerator to an artificial intelligence (AI) model; and providing the information related to the current state of the at least one object.
