An AI agent includes an information receiver configured to receive a purchase history of an article and determine whether or not a new article for storage in refrigerator requiring refrigeration or freezing storage exists in the purchase history, an information collector configured to collect capacity information on the new article for storage in refrigerator and movement path information on the new article for storage in refrigerator when the new article for storage in refrigerator exists in the purchase history, and an agent controller configured to determine an expected arrival time at which the new article for storage in refrigerator is to be received in a refrigerator based on the movement path information, and transmit the movement path information and the capacity information and the expected arrival time information on the new article for storage in refrigerator to the refrigerator.

CONTROLLED INVENTORY REFRIGERATED DISPENSING SYSTEM

A refrigerated dispensing system is provided including an outer refrigerator cabinet and an interior, removable chassis that mounts a plurality of separately removable product storage and dispensing cartridges. While individual cartridges are removably positionable within slots on one or more shelves inside of the chassis, the entire chassis (with cartridges positioned thereon) may be removed from the outer refrigerator cabinet, as may be desirable in the event of a loss of power to the outer refrigerator cabinet. The shelves are preferably of a modular and reconfigurable design, thus allowing portions of the chassis (e.g., individual shelves or portions thereof) to be modified or replaced with alternative shelving or other storage devices to meet the current refrigerated product storage needs of any particular facility.

A remote food management system includes a smart refrigerator, a food ingredients identification device and a smart phone. The smart refrigerator is used for storing at least one food ingredient. The food-ingredient identifying device is used for capturing a food-ingredient image with respect to the food ingredient. The circuit module analyzes the food-ingredient image to produce a plurality of food-ingredient information and at least one freshness parameter, and further calculates an expiration date for the food ingredient. Then, the circuit module establishes a list of food ingredients according to the expiration date. The smart phone is connected to the food-ingredient identifying device so as to read and show the list.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device of the present invention comprises a communication unit and a processor for receiving information on a refrigerator from the refrigerator through the communication unit, dividing an operation section of the refrigerator into an event section and a normal section on the basis of the received information, and determining whether the refrigerator is abnormal on the basis of a state of the refrigerator in the normal section or the event section among the received information. The event section includes a section from a time point when a door of the refrigerator is opened to a time point when the temperature of the refrigerator reaches a predetermined temperature after the door is closed, and the normal section includes a section from a time point when the temperature of the refrigerator reaches the predetermined temperature to a time point before the door is opened.

REFRIGERATOR

Disclosed herein is a refrigerator which includes: a main body having an opening, and including a storage chamber therein; a door configured to open or close the opening; a camera unit disposed in the door, and configured to photograph the storage chamber, wherein the camera unit faces the storage chamber selectively by interworking with opening or closing of the door. With this configuration, it may look in the storage chamber of the refrigerator without opening any door and minimize exposure of the camera unit to the outside.

Refrigerator appliance with timed preheating for dispensed fluids

A refrigerator appliance, as provided herein, may include a cabinet, a door, a dispensing assembly, a heating element, and a controller. The controller may be configured to initiate a dispensing operation. The dispensing operation may include providing a first time, TIME-1, by which a fluid is to be ready at a first temperature, TEMP-1, within the cabinet; ascertaining a first time period, Δt1, required to heat the fluid to at least the first temperature, TEMP-1; initiating detection of a container within a dispenser recess prior to the first time, TIME-1; and directing a heating element prior to the first time, TIME-1, based on initiating detection of the container.

Hands free, controlled autofill for a dispenser

A dispensing system includes one or more digital image capture devices for capturing images in a dispenser well and a digital image analyzer operatively coupled to the digital image capture device(s) for analyzing the images for use in regulating a dispensing operation.
