A golf club head with plate-like, heel and toe side internal stiffeners is disclosed herein. Each stiffener has a planar portion extending approximately parallel with a portion of the striking face, and is entirely disposed within an interior cavity of the golf club head. The heel side stiffener is connected to top, sole, and heel walls of the club head, with a toe-side edge unconnected to any other portion of the head, and the toe side stiffener is connected to the top, sole, and toe walls of the club head, with a heel-side edge unconnected to any other portion of the head. The toe and heel side edges may have large concavities that distribute mass away from the geometric face center and toward the heel and toe sides of the golf club head.

A golf club head comprises a face portion having a face’s front surface for hitting a ball, a face’s rear surface and a face’s center. The face’s back surface is provided with a central thin part, a sole side thin part extending in the toe-heel direction on the sole side than the central thin part, and a sole side rib extending in the toe-heel direction located between the central thin part and the sole side thin part. The width W1 of the sole side thin part is larger than the width W2 of the sole side rib, each measured in a vertical cross-sectional view of the head taken perpendicularly to both the face’s front surface and the horizontal surface, passing through the face’s center.

Golf club head

A golf club head is provided having a club body having a front portion, a rear portion, a toe portion, and a heel portion. The club head also having a central portion connected with the front portion. A frame is connected with the central portion configured to provide a lightweight crown portion being located above an offset plane.

MIXED MATERIAL GOLF CLUB HEAD

A golf club head includes a metallic front body coupled with a rear body to define a substantially hollow structure. The metallic front body includes a strike face and a surrounding frame that extends rearward from a perimeter of the strike face. The rear body includes a crown member and a sole member coupled to the crown member. The sole member comprises a structural layer formed from a filled thermoplastic material and a fiber reinforced composite resilient layer bonded to an external surface of the structural layer. The structural layer includes a plurality of apertures extending through a thickness of the structural layer, and the resilient layer extends across each of the plurality of apertures. The structural layer and the resilient layer each include a common thermoplastic resin component, and are directly bonded to each other without an intermediate adhesive.

GOLF CLUB HEADS AND METHODS TO MANUFACTURE GOLF CLUB HEADS

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion with a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a sole portion, a back portion, and a front portion having a face portion with a face portion thickness extending between a front surface and a back surface. The body portion may be associated with a body portion volume. The golf club head may also include an interior cavity. The interior cavity may include an elastic polymer material.
