Wherein, the mixing means is configured such that the recycle gas is the overhead vapour stream, and the first exchanger and the expanding means are combined.
Process for producing biomethane from a biogas stream, comprising solidification of the impurities
Process for producing biomethane from a biogas stream including methane, carbon dioxide and at least one impurity chosen from ammonia, volatile organic compounds, water, sulfur-based impurities (H.sub.2S) and siloxanes. A biogas stream is dried, the at least one impurity is at least partially removed by solidification and removal of the impurity. The methane and the carbon dioxide contained in the biogas obtained from the second step are separated so as to produce a biomethane stream and a CO.sub.2 stream.
Gas Purification and Liquefication System and Method Using Liquid Nitrogen
A system and method for cooling, purifying and liquifying a feed gas stream uses liquid nitrogen for cooling the system. After cooling the system, the warmed nitrogen is vented as a vapor. The system and method include a water condenser, a first and second cooler and a liquifier and production of at least first and second contaminant streams. Optionally, the system includes a compressor or blower and/or a separator.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO PRODUCE LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS
A small to mid-scale liquefied natural gas production system and method is provided. The disclosed liquefied natural gas production system employs a nitrogen-based refrigerant, at least one heat exchanger, three turbine/expanders and two or more refrigerant compression stages. The expansion ratio of one turbine/expander is appreciably lower than the expansion ratio of the other turbine/expanders such that the temperature of the exhaust stream from the turbine/expander with the lower expansion ratio is above the critical point temperature of the compressed natural gas containing feed stream but colder than −15° C.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO PRODUCE LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS USING TWO DISTINCT REFRIGERATION CYCLES WITH AN INTEGRAL GEAR MACHINE
A system and method for liquefaction of natural gas using two distinct refrigeration circuits having compositionally different working fluids and operating at different temperature levels is provided. The turbomachinery associated with the liquefaction system are driven by a single three-pinion, three-turbine integral gear machine with customized pairing arrangements. The system and method of natural gas liquefaction further includes the conditioning of a lower pressure natural gas feed stream to produce a purified, compressed natural gas stream at a pressure equal to or above the critical pressure of natural gas and substantially free of heavy hydrocarbons to be liquefied.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO PRODUCE LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS USING A THREE PINION INTEGRAL GEAR MACHINE
A system and method for liquefaction of natural gas using two distinct refrigeration circuits having compositionally different working fluids and operating at different temperature levels is provided. The turbomachinery associated with the liquefaction system are driven by a single three-pinion or four-pinion integral gear machine with customized pairing arrangements. The system and method of natural gas liquefaction further includes the conditioning of a lower pressure natural gas containing feed stream to produce a purified, compressed natural gas stream at a pressure equal to or above the critical pressure of natural gas and substantially free of heavy hydrocarbons to be liquefied.
CARBON DIOXIDE RECOVERY DEVICE
A carbon dioxide recovery device provided with a separation device that separates carbon dioxide from to-be-separated gas (for example, combustion exhaust gas) containing carbon dioxide, wherein: in order from the upstream side where the to-be-separated gas is supplied, the separation device and carbon dioxide sublimators, which sublimate (solidify) carbon dioxide that was separated in the separation device, are connected in series, refrigerant circuits in which a fluid having cold heat serves as the refrigerant, are connected to the carbon dioxide sublimators, and the refrigerant is used to sublimate (solidify) the carbon dioxide; and when the carbon dioxide is sublimated (solidified), the carbon dioxide sublimators are depressurized and set to negative pressure so as to draw in the carbon dioxide separated at the separation device.
METHOD FOR STORING A BIOGAS IN A TANK AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEM
The invention essentially concerns a method for storing a biogas in a tank, said method comprising the following steps:
direct contacting of the biogas with a hydrocarbon of the C.sub.3 to C.sub.7 family under conditions allowing at least partial liquefaction of the biogas to obtain a biogas-hydrocarbon mixture that is at least partly liquid, and
storing (S260) the biogas-hydrocarbon mixture in the tank.
