Examples of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a body portion of a golf club head may include a front portion. A face portion may be coupled to the front portion. The face portion may include a central strike portion and a perimeter. A plurality of projections may extend from the face portion to provide a ball striking surface for impacting a golf ball. The plurality of projections may be aligned in one or more directions across the face portion and may progressively increase in size in any direction from the central strike portion to the perimeter of the face portion. GOLF CLUB HEADS AND METHODS TO MANUFACTURE GOLF CLUB HEADS
Examples of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a top portion of a golf club head may include an alignment aid having a first plurality of strip portions and a second plurality of strip portions. Each strip portion of the first plurality of strip portions and each strip portion of the second plurality of strip portions have a quadrilateral shape with a diagonal side. The diagonal sides of the first plurality of strip portions are aligned with one another to generate a first focal axis and the diagonal sides of the second plurality of strip portions are aligned with one another to generate a second focal axis that meets with the first focal axis at a focal point. PUTTER-TYPE GOLF CLUB HEAD
A putter-type golf club head has a top portion, a bottom portion, a heel portion, a toe portion, and a striking face having a variably textured region. The variably textured region includes a central portion and an outer portion laterally spaced from the central portion towards one of the heel portion and the toe portion. The central portion has a material ratio of less than 20% at a cutoff height of 0.1 mm and the outer portion has a material ratio greater than that of the central portion at the cutoff height of 0.1 mm. Variation of the textured region provides consistent ball speed upon impact at different lateral positions of the striking face.
Golf club configuration detection system
Methods and systems for detecting configuration states of a golf club and adjustment systems of a golf club, such as a shaft connection system. A golf club configuration detection system captures configuration data from the adjustment system of the golf club by a configuration detection device, such as a camera, a barcode scanner, or an RFID scanner. The captured configuration data is compared to reference configuration data to determine a configuration state of the adjustment system. Swing data and ball-flight data are tracked for golf-ball strikes with the golf club in the detected configuration state. Recommendations for configuration states may be generated based on the tracked data.
LASER-CONTRASTED GOLF CLUB HEAD AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A golf club head having a laser-generated features to create contrast on the club face of the golf club head. The club face includes a central region, a toe region, and a heel region. The central region includes a first plurality of laser-generated features that provide a height-intersection coverage of the central region, a width-intersection coverage of the central region, and a surface-area coverage of the central region. The toe region includes a second plurality of laser-generated features that provide a height-intersection coverage of the toe region, a width-intersection coverage of the toe region, and a surface-area coverage of the toe region. The heel region includes a third plurality of laser-generated features that provide a height-intersection coverage of the heel region, a width-intersection coverage of the heel region, and a surface-area coverage of the heel region.
Golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads
Examples of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a sole portion with a set of weight ports. Each weight port may have a first section and a second section. Each weight portion from a first set of weight portions may be adhered to the first section of a corresponding weight port by epoxy. Each weight portion from a second set of weight portions may be fastened to the second section of a corresponding weight port. At least a portion of the weight portions of the first set of weight portions may be interchangeable. At least a portion of the weight portions of the second set of weight portions may interchangeable. Other examples may be described and claimed.
GOLF CLUB
Aspects of the invention are directed to golf club having a crown, a sole, a face, and a primary alignment feature hard tooled into the golf club head. In some embodiments the golf club has a primary alignment feature comprising a line delineating a transition between at least a portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color with a shade or color of the face. The primary alignment feature is hard tooled into the golf club head with the face of the golf club body.

Examples of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a top portion of a golf club head includes an alignment aid having a first plurality of strip portions and a second plurality of strip portions bounded by a virtual outline. The first plurality of strip portions have different surface areas. The second plurality of strip portions have different surface areas. The first plurality of strip portions and the second plurality of strip portions touch or border upon the virtual outline. The first plurality of strip portions are spaced apart in a rear-to-front direction of the golf club head and are ordered by decreasing surface area. The second plurality of strip portions are spaced apart in the rear-to-front direction and are ordered by decreasing surface area. Other examples and examples may be described and claimed.
MULTI-COMPONENT PUTTER
Embodiments of multi-component putters comprising an upper portion and a lower portion are described herein. The upper portion is formed from a first material having a first density and the lower portion is formed from a second material having a second density. The first density is less than the second density. The upper portion is affixed to the lower portion via an adhesive or a combination of adhesives and interlocking geometry. The multi-component putter design provides increased forgiveness and moment of inertia compared to a putter formed from a single material.
