PRETREATMENT OF NATURAL GAS PRIOR TO LIQUEFACTION
Method and system for removing high freeze point components from natural gas. Feed gas is cooled in a heat exchanger and separated into a first vapor portion and a first liquid portion. The first liquid portion is reheated using the heat exchanger and separated into a high freeze point components stream and a non-freezing components stream. A portion of the non-freezing components stream may be at least partially liquefied and received by an absorber tower. The first vapor portion may be cooled and received by the absorber tower. An overhead vapor product which is substantially free of high freeze point freeze components and a bottoms product liquid stream including freeze components and non-freeze components are produced using the absorber tower.
Process and plant for production of pure carbon monoxide and hydrogen
Proposed is a process and a plant for production of pure carbon monoxide and hydrogen by steam reforming of hydrocarbons, preferably methane or naphtha, to afford a raw synthesis gas and subsequent, multistage workup, purification and fractionation of the raw synthesis gas to afford the target products, wherein the material streams obtained as by-products of the process chain are also to be advantageously utilized. This is achieved according to the invention by providing the recirculating compressor provided for recycling of the by-product material streams with a plurality of parallel, independently operable compressor stages.
Method and device for condensing a carbon dioxide-rich gas stream
The invention relates to a method for condensing a carbon dioxide-rich gas stream, wherein a stream of water heated by an exchange of heat with the carbon dioxide-rich stream, which is at least partially condensed, is sent to at least one compressor (3,21) for compressing the carbon dioxide-rich stream or a fluid, the carbon dioxide-rich stream of which is derived, in order to at least partially cool at least one stage of said compressor.
Process for separating hydrogen from an olefin hydrocarbon effluent vapor stream
One or more specific embodiments disclosed herein includes a method for separating hydrogen from an olefin hydrocarbon rich compressed effluent vapor stream, employing a integrated heat exchanger, multiple gas-liquid separators, external refrigeration systems, and a rectifier attached to a liquid product drum.
METHOD OF REMOVING CARBON DIOXIDE DURING LIQUID NATURAL GAS PRODUCTION FROM NATURAL GAS AT GAS PRESSURE LETDOWN STATIONS
A method is described for removing carbon dioxide during Liquid Natural Gas production from natural gas at gas pressure letdown stations. The above method removes carbon dioxide from a Liquid Natural Gas production stream by using hydrocarbon fractions taken from a gas for consumption stream as a carbon dioxide stripping adsorption agent for a stripping column used to remove carbon dioxide.
Process integration for natural gas liquid recovery
This specification relates to operating industrial facilities, for example, crude oil refining facilities or other industrial facilities that include operating plants that process natural gas or recover natural gas liquids.

PARAFFIN DEHYDROGENATION PROCESS AND APPARATUS
A process for recovering hydrogen from dehydrogenation reactor effluent is disclosed. A feed stream comprising hydrocarbons and hydrogen to a dehydrogenation reactor maintained at dehydrogenation conditions to provide a dehydrogenation reactor effluent. The dehydrogenation reactor effluent is passed to a cold box separation unit to provide a liquid hydrocarbon product stream and a recycle hydrogen stream. A return portion of the recycle hydrogen stream is passed to the reactor effluent compressor. The subject matter disclosed improved process and apparatus which enables the paraffin dehydrogenation reactor to run at reduced H.sub.2/HC ratio without requiring an investment in a resized compressor or resized turboexpanders or separators in the cold box.
Apparatus and method for separating CO.SUB.2 .at low temperature comprising a step of separation by permeation
In a method for separating a mixture containing carbon dioxide, the mixture is cooled in a heat exchanger and partially condensed and a first liquid is separated from the mixture in a first system operating at low temperature comprising at least one first phase separator and a gas from the first system is treated in a membrane system to produce a permeate and a non-permeate, the gas from the first system being divided into two portions, a first portion being sent to the membrane system without being heated and a second portion being heated to at least an intermediate temperature of the heat exchanger and then sent to the membrane system without being cooled.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING NATURAL GAS
Methods and systems for processing natural gas to meet gas pipeline specifications and/or recovering natural gas liquids (NGL). The natural gas is cooled and distilled such that propane and heavier components are produced as a bottoms NGL product, and inerts, methane, ethane, and other lighter portions are produced as a fuel gas grade/quality residue gas product stream. The gas can optionally be treated to remove hydrogen-sulfide and/or carbon dioxide. The NGL product can be split into a marketable propane and butane liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) liquid product and a natural gas condensate product.
