The liquid/gas separator is configured to receive a liquid/gas mixture and to separate the gas from the liquid. The liquid/gas separator is connected to the core-in-shell heat exchanger via a first line for transmitting gas from the liquid/gas separator to a first region in the core-in-shell heat exchanger and connected to the core-in-shell heat exchanger via a second line for transmitting liquid from the liquid/gas separator to a second region of the core-in-shell heat exchanger.

Modularized LNG Separation Device and Flash Gas Heat Exchanger

Described herein are methods and systems for the liquefaction of natural gas to produce a LNG product. The methods and systems use an apparatus for separating a flash gas from a liquefied natural gas (LNG) stream to produce a LNG product and recovering refrigeration from the flash gas. The apparatus includes a shell casing enclosing a heat exchange zone comprising a coil wound heat exchanger, and a separation zone. The heat exchange zone is located above and in fluid communication with the separation zone. Flash gas is separated from the LNG product in the separation zone and flows upwards from the separation zone into the heat exchange zone where refrigeration is recovered from the separated flash gas.

Ship

A ship includes: a boil-off gas heat exchanger which heat-exchanges a compressed boil-off gas (a first fluid) by means of a boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank as a refrigerant; a compressor installed on the downstream of the boil-off gas heat exchanger and compressing a part of the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; first and second extra compressors provided in parallel with the compressor on the downstream of the boil-off gas heat exchanger and compressing the other part of the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; a refrigerant heat exchanger which additionally cools the first fluid cooled by means of the boil-off gas heat exchanger; a refrigerant decompressing device which expands a second fluid, which has been sent to the refrigerant heat exchanger and cooled by means of the refrigerant heat exchanger, and then sending the expanded second fluid back to the refrigerant heat exchanger.

Methods and systems for treating fuel gas

Methods and systems for treating a compressed gas stream. The compressed gas stream is cooled and liquids are removed therefrom to form a dry gas stream, which is chilled in a first heat exchanger. Liquids are separated therefrom, thereby producing a cold vapor stream and a liquids stream. A first part of the cold vapor stream is expanded to produce a cold two-phase fluid stream, and a second part of the cold vapor stream is cooled to form a cooled reflux stream. Various streams are fed into a separation column to produce a cold fuel gas stream and a low temperature liquids stream. The second part of the cold vapor stream is cooled by the cold fuel gas stream, which becomes a warmed fuel gas stream that is compressed and used with the low-temperature liquids stream to chill the dry gas stream and to cool the compressed gas stream.

Gas recovery system, compressor system, and refrigeration cycle system

A gas recovery system separates a mixed gas including a process gas and an inert gas. The gas recovery system includes a cooling section for cooling and liquefying the process gas contained in the mixed gas by cooling the mixed gas at a temperature higher than a condensation temperature of the inert gas and lower than a condensation temperature of the process gas, a separating section for separating the cooled mixed gas into the process gas in a liquid state and the inert gas in a gas state, and a process gas recovery line that is connected to the separating section which circulates and gasifies the liquid-state process gas and then supplies the process gas into the a compressor. The mixed gas is formed by mixing the process gas, which is compressed by the compressor, and the inert gas, which is supplied to a seal portion of the compressor.
