Drying apparatus and related method
There is provided an apparatus for use in drying a sample of geological material having a substantial moisture content. In one aspect, the apparatus comprises a means for providing a flow of heated fluid, and a means for managing the thermal state of the flow of heated fluid. The means for managing the thermal state of the flow of heated fluid is arranged operable with the means for providing a flow of heated fluid so that exposure of the sample to the flow of heated fluid facilitates a reduction of the moisture content of a portion of the sample while substantially preserving one or more chemical and/or physical properties of the portion.
Dehydration and Disintegration Apparatus and System
There is disclosed an apparatus 100 for reducing the size of a solid material into smaller particles including powder form comprising: an implosion chamber 3 for containing the solid material; and adapted for creating turbulence and ultrasonic soundwaves that bounce off the chamber walls at different angles to create sound frequencies of varying patterns; causing the expansion of moisture particles in the solid material leading to implosion of moisture particles within the solid material. The implosion thereby results to cavitation and reducing the size of solid material within the chamber 3 into smaller particles; a separating section A for separating the particles based on sizes; and channelling the coarser particles into the chamber to go through additional disintegration process; the implosion chamber 3 comprises a conical member 14, a static propeller 9 attached to at least one surface of the chamber 3 and a flail propeller 13 rotatably below the conical member 14 and static propeller 9; the flail propeller 13 and the conical member 14 being connected to an axis within the chamber 3. The rotation of the flail propeller 13 within the chamber 3 generating ultrasonic soundwaves that causes the moisture particles of the solid material to oscillate at high frequency and expansion that disintegrates the solid material. During this process, the moisture content is converted into vapour.
DRYING HOPPER AS WELL AS GRINDING AND DRYING PLANT COMPRISING SUCH
A drying hopper for drying granular material includes a hopper casing defining a plenum chamber for granular material, and an upper part and a bottom part. The hopper also includes a material inlet for the granular material arranged in the upper part; a material outlet port at the bottom part; a component for introducing hot drying gas into the hopper casing; and a gas outlet arranged in the upper part. The component for introducing hot drying gas includes gas pipes arranged to extend substantially vertically in the upper part, each gas pipe having a gas outlet port at its lower end and being connected at its upper end to an annular gas duct having a gas inlet for receiving a flow of drying gas, the gas pipes being distributed on the annular gas duct.
DRY GRINDING MACHINE
To improve operating efficiency of a dry grinding machine, the dry grinding machine includes a rotating shaft; a first blade that is rotationally driven by the rotating shaft; a grinding chamber that houses the first blade; a feed-in section that feeds material to be processed, which is transported by hot wind into the grinding chamber from a direction intersecting the rotating shaft; and a discharging section that is arranged on a side of the first blade opposite the feed-in section, in an axial direction of the rotating shaft, and discharges from the grinding chamber, along with the hot wind, the material to be processed that has been ground by the first blade while being dried by the hot wind fed in from the feed-in section.
FERMENTATION RESIDUE CONDITIONER AND METHOD FOR CONDITIONING FERMENTATION RESIDUES
A fermentation residue conditioner for conditioning aggregate materials consisting of fermentation residue, sludge, both of which having high water content, and/or organic residual masses with low water content, particularly of fermentation residues from the fermentation of household waste, bio-waste and/or base materials containing food residues, having a fermentation residue dropping point for introducing the aggregate material and a fermentation residue removal point for removing the aggregate material. The fermentation residue conditioner is designed such that the aggregate material is transportable through the fermentation residue conditioner during conditioning. The fermentation residue conditioner has a deposit surface for supporting the aggregate material from the underside, and wherein the aggregate material can be transported through the conditioner by a conveyor chain.
High-moisture sludge ultra-fine synchronizing deep-drying device and a method thereof
The present invention discloses a high-moisture sludge ultra-fine synchronizing deep-drying device and a method thereof. The device has a sludge ultrafine pulverizing unit and a sludge drying unit arranged horizontally in parallel, and a pulverized sludge discharge port arranged between them. The sludge ultrafine pulverizing unit comprises a sludge pulverizing chamber and a sludge feeding port, and the sludge pulverizing chamber is a hollow cylindrical structure with a pulverizing rotation shaft arranged in the center, and the pulverizing rotation shaft is provided with a sludge pulverizing impeller. The lower part of the sludge feeding port is provided with a first baffle and/or a second deflector. The sludge is pulverized into sludge powders in the sludge pulverizing chamber, and then fed into the sludge drying chamber to be fluidized and dried. The present invention has the advantage of high drying efficiency, etc.
LOW ENERGY DRYING OF SWINE LAGOON SLUDGE OR DIGESTATE
Devices, systems, and methods for drying a bulk waste product, such as animal waste, having a moisture content of 95% or more water can include a trough configured to receive the bulk waste product and to dispense it in a form suitable for convective drying, one or more conveyors having an air-permeable conveyor belt, each conveyor receiving the waste product from the trough and transporting the waste product along a transport path; and one or more air moving devices (AMDs) that pass air through the air-permeable conveyor belt and across the waste product as it is transported along the transport path to transform the bulk waste product into a dried waste product having a moisture content of about 5% to about 20%, inclusive.
Method for continuously drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips
A method for drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, wherein the bulk goods is continuously dried in a dryer (1), in particular a drum dryer. The vapor-gas mixture flows through the drum dryer (1) in a dryer circuit and is indirectly heated via at least one heat exchanger (4) by a burner waste gas that is heated in at least one burner (5). The drying vapors are supplied to the at least one heat exchanger (4). Upstream, downstream and/or within the at least one heat exchanger (4), at least a partial flow of the drying vapors are branched off to be conducted into the burner (5).
