Bin system and method of regulating particulate flow from bins
A bin and method of use for containment and delivery of particulate materials has: a) a housing; b) a particulate materials support plate within the housing, the support plate having a porous structure allowing air flow therethrough; c) the support plate having a central area elevated away from the bottom of the housing and surrounding sides; d) an air flow area between the bottom of the housing and the support plate; e) a particle drop region surrounding the sides of the support plate; and f) a sealing and opening component within the particle drop region that seals and opens a particle drop path between the support plate and the side walls of the housing. The sealing and opening component has an expanded position when sealing the particle drop region and is in a retracted position when opening the particle drop region to particulate material passage.
Pellet dryer with outlet guidance plate
A pellet dryer is provided having a housing with an inlet and a two separate outlets for discharging dried pellets and fluid, a vertical bladed rotor for centrifugally separating fluid by a screen surrounding the bladed rotor, an outlet duct connected to the outlet opening for the dried pellets, and a curved outlet guidance plate close to the top of the housing. The outlet guidance plate extends from a central position above the screen through the pellet outlet opening into the outlet duct to smooth transitional movement of the pellets between the upper end of the screen and the outlet duct.
TREATMENT INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR TREATING WORKPIECES
In order to provide a treatment installation for treating workpieces that is of simple construction and enables optimised workpiece treatment, it is proposed that the treatment installation should include a treatment chamber and a conveying device, by means of which the workpieces are suppliable to the treatment chamber, are removable from the treatment chamber, and/or are conveyable through the treatment chamber in a conveying direction.
Apparatus and method for dehydrating biological materials with freezing and microwaving
An apparatus and method for dehydrating biological materials, such as vaccines and microorganism cultures, in which the materials are dehydrated in an evacuated container which is in a microwave waveguide that is open to the atmosphere. The apparatus comprises means for freezing the container of biological material, a microwave generator, a waveguide, means for introducing the container into the waveguide, means for applying a vacuum to the container and means for removing the dehydrated material from the waveguide. In the method of the invention, the container of biological material is put in a microwave waveguide open to the atmosphere, a vacuum is applied to the container, the material is frozen and is radiated to dehydrate it. The dehydrated material is then removed from the waveguide.
Waste management system and method
A waste management system ad method for processing and reusing organic waste such as food, green compost, and the like. The waste is delivered from a shredder to three sequential augers, each having a rotating shaft and a helically-wound blade spiraling therealong. The blades of the augers compress the waste and extract liquid therefrom to be drained into a tank for subsequent use as a fuel or a fertilizer. The remaining organic waste is then heated and dried in a dual drum dryer. From the dryer, the waste is delivered to a pelletizer having an apertured shaping plate extending thereacross through which the waste is pushed and shaped into solid pellets. The hot and dry pellets are cooled within a dual drum cooler. From the cooler, the organic waste pellets are collected, packaged and distributed.
Unloading device featuring vacuum suction
An unloading device (10) for a product handling device, having a transfer plate (12) for transferring a plurality of rows arranged one after the other, each row having a plurality of treated products (14), onto a conveying apparatus (16) is characterized in that a suctioning section (18) having suction ports (20) for suctioning the products onto the suctioning section (18) is arranged between the transfer plate (12) and the conveying apparatus (16).
Multiple product belt drier for drying pasty and/or powdery materials, particularly for drying sludges from treatment plants or biomass
A multiple product belt drier having a first air permeable conveyor belt on which the materials to be dried are poured to form a first drying path; at least a second air permeable conveyor belt to assure at least a second drying path for drying the materials after the first one; an air blowing mechanism; an air heating mechanism for heating the blown air to dry the materials, and a drying air distribution circuit for distributing the drying air towards the materials and the belts; the drying air circuit being provided so that the drying air circulates downwards through the materials to be dried and the belts, and an air reheating mechanism is provided between the two paths to reheat the air which has passed through the layer of materials on the first belt, before it passes through the layer of materials on the second belt.
Drying method for processing material and horizontal rotary dryer
To provide a drying method for processing material and a horizontal rotary dryer allowing easy performance of mass processing of the processing material and enabling size reduction by improving drying performance of the dryer. In a drying method for processing material in which a horizontal rotary dryer provided with: a rotating shell having a feed port for processing material on one end side thereof and a discharge port for processing material on the other end side thereof, and capable of freely rotating around an axial center; and a group of heating tubes through which a heating medium passes, provided within the rotating shell, and configured in a manner that the processing material is lifted up in a rotational direction by the group of heating tubes in accordance with the rotation of the rotating shell, is used, and the processing material is dried, through indirect heating, by using the group of heating tubes in a process of feeding the processing material to the one end side of the rotating shell and discharging the processing material from the other end side of the rotating shell, the rotating shell is rotated to make a critical speed ratio defined by the following expression 1 and expression 2 become 30 to less than 100% to dry the processing material,
Vc=2.21D1/2Expression 1
=V/Vc.Math.100Expression 2 wherein Vc indicates a critical speed (m/s), D indicates an inside diameter (m) of the rotating shell, indicates the critical speed ratio (%), and V indicates a rotation speed (m/s).
