The system includes a material containing moisture at least partially filling the space between the first and the second electrical conductor. The system further includes at least one first wire attached to a first radio frequency generator and to the first end of the first electrical conductor. The system also includes at least one second wire attached to the electrical ground of the first radio frequency generator to the first end of the second electrical conductor.
SUPERSONIC DEHYDRATION AND DISINFECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
The partial or full dehydration of organic or inorganic matter containing water by induction of matter into a vacuum and processing matter through a specially designed acceleration channel is disclosed. The inducted matter accelerates in air from zero speed to sub-sonic speed to reach supersonic speed. As the material transitions the sound barrier, it is subject to acoustic shock waves and an instant negative pressure drop occurs. The sound waves disintegrate, disinfect the material and extract part or all moisture from any organic or inorganic material.

The radiant conveyor drying system generally comprises an input assembly, a drying assembly and an exit assembly mechanically fixed to one another. The drying assembly comprising at least one drying unit in communication with one another to provide for passage of product between the respective drying units and the input assembly and the exit assembly. The drying unit comprising a conveyor belt and a drying unit heating assembly. The drying unit heating assembly comprising a plenum and a heating chamber. The drying unit further comprising a burning unit in communication with the heating chamber to provide for radiant heat to contact the product traveling on the conveyor through the drying unit. The drying unit further comprising a blower fan in communication with the plenum to provide for convective air advancing from the plenum, over and through the radiant heat, to the product. Wherein the radiant heat is disbursed throughout the product. A first embodiment of the invention controlling hear generated by the burning unit of each respective drying unit. A second embodiment of the invention controlling heat generated by the burning unit and rate of the conveyor of each respective drying unit. A method of operation of the radiant conveyor drying system is described.
Drying process and apparatus
The invention relates to a process and apparatus for ultrasonic assisted drying of materials, in particular, but not exclusively, for the low temperature drying of materials that are heat sensitive. In particular, there is provided an apparatus for dehydration of water containing material comprising: an ultrasound emitter; an ultrasound transmission platform that directly or indirectly supports said material; a fluid retained between said emitter and said platform, through which ultrasound energy is transferred; and a gas stream device that directs drying gas to said material. There is also provided a method of dehydration of water containing material comprising locating the material either directly or indirectly on an ultrasound transmission platform of a dehydration apparatus that comprises: an ultrasound emitter; a fluid retained between said emitter and said platform, through which ultrasound energy is transferred; and a gas stream device that directs drying gas to said material; and exposing said material to ultrasound energy and drying gas flow for a time and under conditions suitable to achieve desired extent of dehydration of said material. In another aspect there is provided a material that has been dehydrated using the method or apparatus described above.
METHOD OF DRYING A SUBSTANCE USING SECTIONAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL
A method of drying a substance, the method comprising the steps of distributing the substance on a first belt having a side adapted to receive the substance; urging the substance via the side of the first belt towards at least two adjacent sections of an exterior circumferential surface of at least one drum rotatable about a central axis; heating the substance on the first belt via a plurality of heating devices arranged proximate to and about each said section of the drum to heat the substance to remove fluids from the substance; and separately controlling the heating devices proximate to each said section of the drum to heat the substance at different heating temperatures at each section thereof while traveling on the first belt around the drum.
DEHYDRATOR FOR BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL
A dehydrator apparatus for dehydrating biological material. The apparatus includes an external housing, and a vessel supported within said external housing and spanning in a longitudinal direction thereof in elevated relation from a bottom of the housing. A loading inlet feeds into said vessel from outside the housing for admission of biological material. An air intake feeds into the housing to deliver heated air thereto from a hot air source, and air routing components within the external housing guide the heated air into heat exchange relationship with the vessel itself, and also into heating and aerating exposure to contents of said vessel. An agitator is installed in operable relation to the vessel to agitate the material fed thereinto via the material inlet. An exhaust outlet exhausts the heated air from the housing after having heated and aerated the vessel and its contents.
Apparatuses and Methods for Drying Hay Bales
A hay bale dryer features a support frame inside of which there is delimited at least one bale space and at least one manifold carrying a set of aeration spears movable between a deployed position penetrating the bale space and a retracted position withdrawn therefrom. The manifold is moved between the positions by way of an actuator driven linkage, and the aeration spears comprise hollow elongated bodies of tapered thickness toward their distal ends for more effective penetration of the hay bales. A manufacturing method uses a hydraulic press to produce the hollow elongated bodies from lengths of originally cylindrically pipe. Horizontal feeding tables and upright feeding racks feature displaceable bale movers for moving queued hay bales along one or more queuing lanes into one or more bale dryers.
Drying of organic materials
Described is a method and apparatus for drying organic material using the energy contained in the organic material to be dried to drive the drying process. The organic material could be sewage sludge, food scraps, manure, wood, bagasse etc. The latent heat of evaporation is recovered through the use of a heat pump mechanism. This allows for the retention of a majority of the heat within the system, allowing optimal drying conditions to be maintained throughout the drying process.
