A hay bale dryer features a support frame inside of which there is delimited at least one bale space and at least one manifold carrying a set of aeration spears movable between a deployed position penetrating the bale space and a retracted position withdrawn therefrom. The manifold is moved between the positions by way of an actuator driven linkage, and the aeration spears comprise hollow elongated bodies of tapered thickness toward their distal ends for more effective penetration of the hay bales. A manufacturing method uses a hydraulic press to produce the hollow elongated bodies from lengths of originally cylindrically pipe. Horizontal feeding tables and upright feeding racks feature displaceable bale movers for moving queued hay bales along one or more queuing lanes into one or more bale dryers.

Process for producing biomass by treatment of organic waste with two-step drying

The continuous process of the present invention is intended to obtain dry biomass from two treatment steps by drying organic waste. The waste previously sieved and crushed waste are dumped into a first dryer, inside of which temperatures are between 280? C. and 300? C. at the inlet thereof and between 90? C. and 100? C. at the outlet, then passing to a conveyor belt where at room temperature a partial cool-down occurs and the waste is dumped into a second dryer inside of which the temperatures are between 180? C. and 200? C. at the inlet and between 75? C. and 85? C. at the exit, completing the process, during which the interior of the dryers is maintained in negative pressure through exhaust flow and the oxygen content is kept between 5 and 7%.

Hybrid drying apparatus for high or medium viscosity materials

A hybrid drying apparatus including: a bed portion having a horizontally disposed top surface; an object-to-be-dried supplying portion configured to spread an object to be dried on the top surface of the bed portion; and a driving unit configured to rotate and drive the bed portion or the object-to-be-dried supplying portion, wherein the object to be dried supplied from the object-to-be-dried supplying portion is spread on the top surface of the bed portion while the bed portion or the object-to-be-dried supplying portion is rotated, and the top surface of the bed portion is heated in such a manner that a lower portion of the bed portion is primarily heated so that the bed portion is used to dry the object to be dried coated on the top surface of the bed portion by the object-to-be-dried supplying portion.

A pulp-molding process and an in-line intelligently drying apparatus therefor, comprise: implementing intelligent-circulation desiccating step and intelligently-wetting step in sequence, between pulp-dredging and forming step and thermo-compression forming step. Intelligent-circulation desiccating step comprises: in accordance to structure and/or outer contour of pulp-molding article, implementing combination of both infrared irradiation step and hot-wind blowing step, thereby self-adaptive eliminating different moistures contained within different portions of initially-compressed semi-finished product, to form evenly-dried semi-finished product. Intelligently-wetting step comprises: in accordance to structure and/or outer contour of pulp-molding article, spray-sprinkling predetermined different adaptive amount of water over different local location within dried semi-finished product, thereby forming wetted semi-finished product having averaged moisture content.

LOW-TEMPERATURE, EJECTOR ASSISTED DRYER APPARATUS, METHODS AND DEPLOYMENT THEREOF

The invention discloses method and system of drying renewable sources of energy and raw material. The drying process is carried out under partial vacuum conditions and at lower temperatures than conventional dryers. The temperature to dry the material and the rate of water removal are controlled by regulating the degree of vacuum and the intensity of heat input. A method for drying material to moisture content below 10% by weight, comprises introducing into an ejector a stream with a pressure above ambient pressure, creating partial vacuum in a drying chamber through the secondary nozzle of the ejector when the stream enters the ejector and provides the motive pressure to the primary nozzle of the ejector, said drying chamber having an inlet into which a wet material is introduced and an outlet for taking out the dried material after the drying treatment, drying the wet material using low temperature waste heat.

Method and facility for drying by means of hydrothermal carbonization and filtering

The present invention relates to the field of heat treatment of a product to be dehydrated, such as sludge from a waste water treatment process. The present invention relates more particularly to a method and to a facility for drying such a product, making it possible to implement a hydrothermal carbonization operation on reactor 1 followed by a filtering and drying operation, preferably on a heating filter press 6. In order to dry said product in the heating filter press 6, a heat-transfer fluid from a heat exchanger 2 is made to flow in said heating filter press. The heat exchanger 2 is arranged so as to transfer, to the heat-transfer fluid, at least some of the heat contained in the product to be dehydrated that is output from the reactor 1.

Dryer exhaust heat recovery
10345043 · 2019-07-09 · ·

A system and method for extracting waste heat from the exhaust (20) of a biomass dryer (14), such as in a grain alcohol plant (10). A boiler circuit (74) provides steam at a high pressure to a balance of the plant (64). A recovered energy circuit (76) extracts heat from the exhaust and provides steam (60) at an intermediate pressure, thereby eliminating the need for a pressure reducing valve in order to satisfy an intermediate pressure steam demand in the plant. Working fluids in the boiler and recovered energy circuits are intermixed in a boiler feed vessel (72).

ADVANCED FLASH EXHAUST HEAT RECOVERY

Waste heat is extracted in two stages from the exhaust (20) of a biomass dryer (14) in a grain alcohol plant (10). A boiler circuit (56) provides a first steam at high pressure. A first energy recovery circuit (36) extracts heat from the exhaust via a non-contact heat exchanger (24) and provides a second, relatively lower pressure steam (78), thereby bypassing a portion of the boiler circuit. Working fluids in the boiler and first energy recovery circuits are maintained within boiler water quality specifications and are intermixed to allow the production of the second steam without a pressure reduction device. A second energy recovery circuit (44) extracts heat from the exhaust downstream of the first energy recovery circuit using a direct contact heat exchanger (38) and provides a non-boiler quality heated fluid (52), which may be a heated liquid or a third steam.
