Method for continuously drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips
A method for drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, wherein the bulk goods is continuously dried in a dryer (1), in particular a drum dryer. The vapor-gas mixture flows through the drum dryer (1) in a dryer circuit and is indirectly heated via at least one heat exchanger (4) by a burner waste gas that is heated in at least one burner (5). The drying vapors are supplied to the at least one heat exchanger (4). Upstream, downstream and/or within the at least one heat exchanger (4), at least a partial flow of the drying vapors are branched off to be conducted into the burner (5). The remaining partial flow is conducted to the dryer (1) again. The partial flow of drying vapors to the burner (5) is driven by at least one regulable partial vapor fan (10).
APPARATUS FOR DRYING LOOSE WOOD MATERIAL
An apparatus for drying loose wood material having a rotating drum dryer is provided with an inlet and an outlet for loose wood material and with an intake port and a discharge port for a first stream of heated air. A belt dryer is provided with an entry opening and an exit opening for loose wood material and at least one intake opening and at least one discharge opening for a second stream of heated air. The apparatus also includes a conveyance component for transferring the loose wood material, the component being interposed between the drum dryer and the belt dryer. The apparatus further includes a component for conveying the first stream in output from the discharge port toward the at least one intake opening and a conveyor belt which is permeable to air is interposed therebetween and is adapted to filter the second stream.
Heat treatment of firewood
Heat treating firewood in basket using a kiln having a burner side placement area and an opposite side placement area for receiving baskets containing firewood. The two placement areas separated by a set of downcomers that provide heated air. Loading the kiln with baskets of firewood through the use of at least one of the first end wall and the second end wall. Applying a charge to heat the baskets of firewood. The application of the charge circulating heated air for the kiln from the mixing chamber and returning the heated air to the kiln through the supply duct till the dry bulb temperature reaches an initial target temperature above 230 degrees Fahrenheit. After reaching the initial target temperature for dry bulb temperature, increasing the wet bulb temperature depression target while working to maintain the dry bulb temperature within a selected tolerance with respect to the initial target temperature.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY DRYING BULK GOODS, IN PARTICULAR WOOD CHIPS AND/OR WOOD FIBERS COMPRISING A HOT GAS CYCLONE
An apparatus and a method is provided for continuously drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, in a dryer, wherein the drying vapors are led to a dryer circuit, in which the drying vapors are indirectly heated via a heat-exchanger and are conducted to the dryer again.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY DRYING BULK GOODS, IN PARTICULAR WOOD CHIPS AND/OR WOOD FIBERS COMPRISING A HEAT EXCHANGER
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY DRYING BULK GOODS, IN PARTICULAR WOOD CHIPS AND/OR WOOD FIBERS COMPRISING A SOLID FIRED HOT GAS GENERATOR
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY DRYING BULK GOODS, IN PARTICULAR WOOD CHIPS AND/OR WOOD FIBERS COMPRISING MULTI-FUEL BURNER WITH A MUFFLE COOLING SYSTEM
An apparatus and a method are provided for continuously drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, in a dryer, wherein the drying vapors are led to a dryer circuit, in which the drying vapors are indirectly heated via a heat-exchanger and are conducted to the dryer again.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DRYING PARTICULATE MATERIAL
A device and method for drying particulate material, especially a wooden particulate material, in which the particulate material is placed on a conveyor belt, and during the conveying course, air is supplied. As the air passes through the particulate material, the supplied air removes humidity (along with finer particulate matter, such as dust) from the particulate matter. Subsequently, the humid air is removed in multiple separate streams and transferred to filter devices.
Device and process for eradicating pests in wood
A device and process for heating wood for the purpose of eradicating burrowed pests such as gypsy moths and emerald ash borer beetles are disclosed. The device is used for treating firewood and pallets made of wood to insure that burrowed pests are killed before transporting the wood across state lines in following of state regulations. The device comprises a conveyor adapted for transporting firewood or pallets an insulated and heated chamber. The wood core temperature of the wood is monitored using wireless temperature sensors. Conveyor speed is adjusted according to temperature readings in order to achieve a threshold wood core temperature and in order to maintain the threshold wood core temperature for the minimum required period of time.
Biomass apparatus and method with pre-treatment and reflux condenser
A method of drying a moisture-containing or water-laden biomass material is provided that includes the steps of sending the biomass material into an apparatus having a feeding device, a rotary biomass dryer, a reflux condenser, an aftercooler, and an exit mechanism. The biomass material may be pretreated, and then heated in order to separate the moisture-containing or water laden biomass material into steam and dry biomass material. The steam is removed as the steam and the dry biomass material passes through the reflux condenser, the dry biomass is cooled in the aftercooler stage, and the dry biomass material is collected after exiting the apparatus through the exit mechanism.
