Permanent magnet, motor, and generator

A method of manufacturing a permanent magnet comprises a solution heat treatment. The solution heat treatment includes: performing a heat treatment at a temperature T.sub.ST; placing a cooling member including a first layer and a second layer on the first layer between the heater and the treatment object so that the first layer faces the treatment object; and transferring the treatment object together with the cooling member to the outside of a heating chamber, and cooling the treatment object until a temperature of the treatment object becomes a temperature lower than a temperature T.sub.ST200 C. In the step of cooling the treatment object, a cooling rate until the temperature of the treatment object becomes the temperature T.sub.ST200 C. is 5 C./s or more.

IMPLANTABLE PUMP IMPELLER THERMAL KNOCKDOWN
20200345912 · 2020-11-05 ·

The present invention relates to kits and methods for calibrating a pump through performance of a thermal knockdown process including demagnetization of an impeller of the pump where the impeller is separate from the pump. By heat treating the impeller, a property of magnetic interaction of the pump is reduced in a repeatable manner. A kit includes a pump with impeller, a controller and an oven. The method generally involves an iterative process of testing the pump for a property related to magnetic interaction of the elements of the pump, removing the impeller from the pump, heating the impeller under controlled conditions, then placing the impeller back into the pump to repeat the test performed initially.

The infrared baking device includes: a furnace chamber having an opening openable/closable by an opening/closing cover and allowing an internal space thereof to be tightly sealed; a baking object placement portion on which a baking object is to be placed and which is extractable/insertable through the opening; a heater lamp for heating the heating object by infrared rays; and a thermocouple provided at the baking object placement tray. A furnace wall of the furnace chamber is configured so that infrared rays from the heater lamp are collected and radiated to the tray. The thermocouple is provided in a contactor to contact with the tray. The tray and the contactor are made of the same material which absorbs the infrared rays.

Far-infrared radiation multi-stage type heating furnace for steel sheets for hot stamping

A far-infrared radiation multi-stage type heating furnace for steel sheets for hot stamping, the furnace including far-infrared radiation heaters having flexibility that are prevented from deflecting even during heating at temperatures ranging from the Ac.sub.3 transformation temperature to 950 C. The furnace includes: multiple-staged heating units that accommodate steel sheets, each heating unit formed by thermal insulation materials disposed around the periphery; and far-infrared radiation heaters positioned above and below the heating units. A far-infrared radiation heater is received by first metal strips. The first metal strips are disposed so that their strong axis direction approximately corresponds to the direction of gravity and supported by support pieces so as to be expandable and contractible in a longitudinal direction by thermal expansion or thermal contraction. The support pieces are disposed outside the thermal insulation materials in the heating units and a ceiling unit.

Apparatus for endothermic process with improved burners arrangement

A furnace for performing an endothermic process comprising tubes containing a catalyst for converting a gaseous feed, wherein tubes are positioned in rows inside the furnace, wherein burners are mounted between the tubes and between the tubes and the furnace walls parallel to the tubes row and wherein the burners rows and the tubes rows are ended by end walls and are divided into sections with the distance from the end burner to the end wall being B2W, the distance between two adjacent burners in the section being B2B, and half the distance in-between two sections being B2S, wherein the burners in the rows are arranged in such a way that the ratios B2B/B2W and B2B/B2S are greater than 1.3 thus limiting the occurrence of the flame merging phenomenon and reducing significantly the quadratic mean of the tube temperature profile.

DECARBONIZATION OF COKE OVENS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems and methods for removing carbonaceous clinker material from a coke oven are described. A coke oven can be provided including an oven floor, coke, and clinker material deposited on the oven floor. After a temperature of the coke oven has reached a first temperature (e.g., after heating coal in the oven to produce coke), the method includes increasing the temperature of the coke oven to a second temperature that is higher than the first temperature for a predetermined amount of time. After the predetermined amount of time, the temperature is reduced to a third temperature that is lower than the first temperature.
