DYNAMIC COOLING OF A METALLURGICAL FURNACE
One embodiment is a cooling system for regulating temperature of a surface of a metallurgical furnace. The cooling system includes a plurality of spray conduits. Each spray conduit has one or more control valves and has a plurality of nozzles. A plurality of temperature sensors are disposed proximate the surface of the metallurgical furnace. A control system adjusts the control valves of the plurality of spray conduits in response to temperature information derived from the plurality of temperature sensors.
FURNACE STAVE
A furnace stave comprising a plurality of internal channels or conduits for circulating cooling fluid through the stave; an inlet and an outlet channel associated with each internal channel or conduit; wherein one of the internal channels or conduits is disposed in a protrusion from the stave.

Method and apparatus for acoustically detecting fluid leaks
A system used in monitoring one or more operating parameters of a coolant-fluid cooled industrial installation includes one or more an acoustic sensors positioned to receive and sense one or more acoustic signals in an installation coolant-fluid flow. The acoustic sensor assembly operates to emit and sense acoustic signals at frequency ranges above and/or below the background noise frequency ranges which are associated with the normal industrial installation operation. Output data signals representative of sensed acoustic signals are compared to target frequency profiles predetermined as representing an acoustic frequency associated with a predetermined installation operating parameter or event.
METALLURGICAL FURNACE HAVING AN INTEGRATED OFF-GAS HOOD
An apparatus is disclosed for a metallurgical furnace having a roof with an integrated off-gas hood. The roof has a hollow metal roof. The hollow metal roof has a top, a bottom, an outer sidewall and an inner sidewall. An opening extends from the top to the bottom and is defined by the inner sidewall. The opening is configured for one or more electrodes to pass therethrough. An enclosed space is defined between the top, the bottom, the inner sidewall and the outer sidewall. A spray-cooled system is disposed in the enclosed space and configured to spray coolant in the enclosed space on the bottom surface of the hollow metal roof. A channel having walls is disposed through the enclosed space, wherein the spray-cooled system extends between the top of the hollow metal roof and the wall of the channel.
SINTERING APPARATUS
A sintering apparatus is provided. The sintering apparatus includes a case having an internal space formed therein and including a door provided in a front portion thereof to open and close the internal space, a magnetron coupled to the case and oscillating microwaves toward the internal space, a heat insulating unit disposed in the internal space to form a chamber space and blocking transmission of heat of the chamber space to the internal space, a susceptor unit disposed in the chamber space and having a sintering space in which a to-be-sintered material is accommodated, and a cooling unit cooling at least one of the case or the chamber space.

Continuous flow submerged combustion melter cooling wall panels, submerged combustion melters, and methods of using same
Continuous flow submerged combustion melter cooling wall panels, including a primary metal plate, and several 90 degree metal pieces welded to the primary metal plate in parallel configuration, each of the 90 degree metal pieces having metal leg plates forming a 90 degree vertex there between. Each metal leg plate has an edge distal to the vertex, the distal edge of the first metal leg plate welded to the first major surface of the primary metal plate, the distal edge of the second metal leg plate welded to the vertex of an adjacent 90 degree metal piece. The plurality of 90 degree metal pieces may have a length (l) such that l<L, each welded to the primary metal plate in staggered configuration to form, along with first and second end plates and a seal plate, a serpentine continuous flow coolant channel.
MULTIPLE-CHANNEL REFRIGERATED PANEL FOR BLAST FURNACES AND OTHER INDUSTRIAL FURNACES
This present invention is a cooled panel (23) used on the walls of blast furnaces (1) and other industrial furnaces consisting of a body (25) of copper, cast iron or other metal alloy, independent internal cooling channels (24) and protection sleeves (26) attached to the panel body and the pipes (27) that link the couplings to the internal cooling channels (24). The cooled panel (23) features the amount of internal cooling channels (24) greater than the number of coupling sets (31), which are connected to the furnace water system feeding and return (35).
COOLING BOX FOR A SHAFT FURNACE
A cooling box for a metallurgical furnace including an elongated hollow body extending from a front end, to an opposite rear end, the rear end being, in use, connected to a wall of the furnace; the body includes an inner chamber having a cooling circuit configured to receive a flow of coolant fluid therein between at least one inlet and at least one outlet; the cooling box further including at least one partition plate fitted in the inner chamber through a form-fit connection to form the cooling circuit.
