The invention relates to a melted and cast refractory product having a chemical composition such that, in mass percentages on the basis of the oxides: AI.sub.2O.sub.3: complement up to 100%; MgO: 26% to 50%; ZrO.sub.2: 0.5% to 10.0%; B.sub.2O.sub.3: <1.5%; SiO.sub.2: 0.5%; Na.sub.2O+K.sub.2O: 0.3%; CaO: 1.0%; Fe.sub.2O.sub.3+TiO.sub.2: <0.55%; other oxide species: <1.0%. In said product, the elementary mass ratio R of the zirconium content to the total boron, fluorine and silicon content is between 2 and 80.

The present invention relates to kiln furniture kits for supporting ceramic products, such as for example sanitary ware, during high temperature processes in a kiln. The invention further relates to rolling element holders as part of the kiln furniture kits according to the present invention for deformation and breakage free firing or drying of ceramic products.

An assembly for carrying parts to be sintered through a sintering furnace includes a boat formed of a refractory metal or metal alloy and including a base and, sidewalls, and a plurality of vertically stacked ceramic tiles disposed within the boat, each of the plurality of vertically stacked ceramic tiles sized to carry a plurality of the parts to be sintered through the sintering furnace.
Wrapped green body carrier
According to certain aspects, a wrapped green body carrier for a green body includes side supports and moveable supports mounted to the side supports. Each of the moveable supports includes an inner end configured to move relative to the side supports. The green body carrier includes a flexible sheet attached to and suspended from each inner end of the moveable supports. The inner ends of the moveable supports are configured to move inward to wrap the flexible sheet around at least a portion of the green body (e.g., more than 180). Accordingly, the wrapped green body carrier supports a large circumference of the green body and accommodates large deviations in shape and/or diameter. In certain embodiments, the flexible sheet includes radiation coupling material or radiation blocking material so that wrapping the flexible sheet around the green body improves uniformity during microwave drying.
