Concentric growth ring baseball bat
A baseball bat fabricated from a limb of a tree, procured without harvesting any of the tree's trunk. Because of this technique, the process of the present invention is much less wasteful. Many bats can be fabricated from a single tree, without felling the tree itself. The process of fabrication of the present invention is drawn to working with the properties of the harvested tree limb. In this manner, a billet is fabricated on a lathe with its center placed concentric with the center of the tree limb, thusly concentric with the limb's growth rings. By doing so, the growth rings within the limb will not be bisected during fabrication of the billet. When the billet is further turned on a lathe to shape the billet into a baseball bat, the growth rings within the limb will be minimally bisected, thus increasing the strength of the baseball bat of the present invention, as compared to the baseball bats of the prior art.
BAT WITH BARREL INNER TUBE WEIGHT
A ball bat includes a handle portion, a barrel portion, an inner tube extending within the barrel portion and a weight axially secured within the inner tube within the barrel portion. The barrel portion has an outer wall about a hollow interior. The inner tube extends along an axis within the hollow interior and is radially spaced from and out of contact with the outer wall.
Baseball and softball bat swing training device
A swing training device for improving the batting mechanics of baseball players includes a device handle for gripping by a player in the manner of a baseball bat handle and a device barrel having a ball striking surface. The device barrel is interfaced at an angle from about 20 to about 40 to the device handle. At least the ball striking surface of the device barrel is formed in the size and circular shape of a baseball bat barrel. A joint maybe provided for interfacing the device barrel to the device handle at the desired angle of interface, in which case threaded bolts are utilized to attach the device handle and the device barrel to the joint. Longitudinally oriented threaded bores are provided on substantially planar faces of the device handle and the device barrel to matingly receive the bolts.
CELLULOSIC AND LIGNOCELLULOSIC STRUCTURAL MATERIALS AND METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH MATERIALS
Methods of treating wood and wood products include irradiating untreated wood having a first molecular weight with ionizing radiation to cause an increase in the molecular weight of a cellulosic component of the wood to a second, relatively higher molecular weight.
KEEMBOO
An aerial projectile resting on a flat hard floor is stricken two consecutive times with a stick, the first strike made in a vertical swing and at right angle to one of the projectile's flat-tapered face with straight-edge ends propels it upward and in mid air and perpendicularly to the floor, and spinning on its larger axis; the second strike made in a waist-high horizontal baseball-like swing, said swings made within an interval of about two seconds between the first and second strike on the same projectile, making the projectile travel through the air in a trajectory horizontal to the floor and landing on the floor far from its original rest position.

COMPRESSION SLEEVE WRAP AND REINFORCED METHODOLOGY FOR A WOOD BAT
Various aspects directed towards reinforcing a wooden baseball bat are disclosed. In a first aspect, a compression wrap apparatus includes an elastic strap and a fastening device coupled to a first end of the elastic strap in which the fastening device facilitates securing a wrapping of the elastic strap around a handle of a wooden baseball bat. In another aspect, a baseball bat apparatus includes a wooden baseball bat and a compression wrap configured to wrap around a handle of the wooden baseball bat. In a further aspect, yet another baseball bat apparatus is disclosed, which includes a wooden baseball bat and at least one alloy compression ring configured to wrap around a handle of the wooden baseball bat.
