OVEN APPLIANCE WITH AN ADJUSTABLE CAMERA ASSEMBLY

An adjustable camera assembly mounted within a door of an oven appliance includes a vertical guide rail and a camera movably mounted to the guide rail. A drive mechanism, such as a lead screw driven by a stepper motor, is mechanically coupled to the camera for moving the camera along the guide rail. A heat shield is positioned proximate a bottom of the door and extends around the guide rail to define a protective cavity for receiving the camera and providing a thermal break from a heating element of the oven appliance. A controller is configured for moving the camera into the protective cavity during high temperature operation of the oven appliance, such as during a self-clean cycle.

BLAST FURNACE APPARATUS AND OPERATION METHOD FOR BLAST FURNACE

Disclosed is a blast furnace apparatus includes: a rotating chute; a plurality of tuyeres; a profile measurement device configured to measure surface profiles of a burden charged into the blast furnace through the rotating chute; and a blowing amount controller configured to control a blowing amount of at least one of hot blast or pulverized coal in each of the plurality of tuyeres, in which the profile measurement device includes: a radio wave distance meter installed on the blast furnace top and configured to measure the distance to the surface of the burden charged; and an arithmetic unit configured to derive the surface profiles of the burden on a basis of distance data for the entire blast furnace related to distances to the surface of the burden obtained by scanning a detection wave of the radio wave distance meter in the blast furnace in a circumferential direction.

HIGH TEMPERATURE REACTION SYSTEM

A high temperature reaction system includes a reaction tube including a heating space, a discharge unit, a cooling unit, a feeding unit and an observation and analysis unit. The discharge unit is disposed opposite to an inlet of the heating space and has a discharge space communicating the heating space, and an observation window and a discharge opening which communicate the discharge space. The cooling unit has a cooling space communicating the discharge opening. The feeding unit includes a carrier holding a sample, and a moving module for moving the carrier and the sample. The observation and analysis unit includes an image capture module and an analysis module for analyzing gas released by the sample.

VIEWPORT FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE COMBUSTION ZONES

A viewport for a combustion zone includes an inner casing having a flange extending into the combustion zone. A first layer of ceramic fiber insulation is exterior to the inner casing. A middle casing includes two panes of quartz glass separated by traverse plates. A second layer of ceramic fiber insulation is exterior to the middle casing. An outer casing is positioned to the exterior of the second layer of insulation. The middle casing includes L-shaped ledges having third and fourth layers of ceramic insulation. The panes of glass are each positioned between layers of insulation and the insulation positioned in the L-shaped ledges. The viewport is modular enabling the separation of the first layer of insulation, the middle casing, the second layer of insulation and the outer casing from the combustion zone for maintenance or repair. The viewport minimizes heat migration to the outer casing during use.
