HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger includes a shell, a refrigerant distributor, and a heat transferring unit. The shell has a refrigerant inlet through which at least refrigerant with liquid refrigerant flows and a shell refrigerant vapor outlet. A longitudinal center axis of the shell extends generally parallel to a horizontal plane. The refrigerant distributor is connected to the refrigerant inlet and disposed within the shell. The refrigerant distributor has at least one liquid refrigerant distribution opening that distributes liquid refrigerant and a refrigerant vapor distribution outlet opening longitudinally spaced from the shell refrigerant vapor outlet. The heat transferring unit is disposed inside of the shell below the refrigerant distributor so that the liquid refrigerant discharged from the refrigerant distributor is supplied to the heat transferring unit.

The liquid refrigerant distributor includes a gas-liquid two-phase pipe through which a gas-liquid two-phase refrigerant flows, and a first refrigerant tub including a liquid reservoir section into which the gas-liquid two-phase refrigerant flows from the gas-liquid two-phase pipe. The first refrigerant tub further includes a droplet collector configured to collect droplets contained in a gas refrigerant separated by the liquid reservoir section.
Refrigeration unit with heat exchanging arrangement
A refrigeration unit includes a compressor, a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a water pump, and a heat exchanging arrangement. The heat exchanging arrangement includes a main casing having a receiving cavity divided into a water atomizing compartment and one water showering compartment, a water atomizing unit, a water showering head, a fill material unit provided underneath the water showering head, and a water collection basin provided underneath the water atomizing unit and the fill material unit. A predetermined amount of heated water from the first heat exchanger is guided to flow to the water showering head and the water in the water showering head is sprinkled on the fill material unit. A predetermined amount of water from the water pump guided to flow to the water atomizing unit and the water flowing to the water atomizing unit is sprayed and atomized in the water atomizing compartment.

Distributor for falling film evaporator
A falling film evaporator includes a plurality of evaporator tubes through which a volume of thermal energy transfer medium is flowed, a separator to separate a flow of liquid refrigerant from a vapor and liquid refrigerant mixture, and a distributor operably connected to the separator to distribute a flow of liquid refrigerant over the plurality of evaporator tubes. The distributor includes a distributor inlet to receive the flow of liquid refrigerant from the separator, a sparge channel connected to the distributor inlet to flow the liquid refrigerant therethrough and exiting the sparge channel via a plurality of sparge openings in an upper surface of the sparge channel, and a distribution sheet disposed below the sparge channel through which the liquid refrigerant flows onto the plurality of evaporator tubes. A flow rate of liquid refrigerant through each sparge opening of the plurality of sparge openings is substantially equal.
