MULTI-STAGE WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR CROSS-FLOW EVAPORATIVE HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchange system includes a first heat exchanger subassembly, a second heat exchanger subassembly, a first nozzle configured to spray fluid at the first heat exchanger subassembly, and a second nozzle configured to spray fluid at the second heat exchanger subassembly. The heat exchange system further includes memory storing controller-executable instructions and a controller configured to execute the instructions, which cause the controller to activate the first nozzle when an outdoor temperature is below a threshold temperature, and activate the first nozzle and the second nozzle when the outdoor temperature is above the threshold temperature.
INDIRECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING AIR CONDITIONER
An indirect evaporative cooling air conditioner is provided, which includes a housing, multiple partition plates located in the housing and at least two heat exchangers arranged side by side. The multiple partition plates and the at least two heat exchangers separate the housing into multiple indoor air flow passages and multiple outdoor air flow passages, each heat exchange has a first heat exchange flow passage and a second heat exchange flow passage crosswise and independently arranged, the indoor air flow passages are in communication with the first heat exchange flow passages to form an indoor circulation passage, the outdoor air flow passages are in communication with the second heat exchange flow passages to form an outdoor circulation passage, and the fluid in the indoor circulation passages exchange heat with the fluid in the outdoor circulation passages through the at least two heat exchangers.
Modular waterside economizer for air-cooled chillers
A hydronic economizer module configured for use in a chiller system having a vapor compression cycle including a housing having at least a first air inlet. A heat exchanger assembly located within said housing. The heat exchanger includes at least one heat exchanger coil. A fan assembly includes at least one fan generally aligned with the at least one heat exchanger coil. At least one valve is movable between a plurality of positions to control a flow of fluid into said heat exchanger assembly. When said at least one valve is in a first position the economizer module is arranged in parallel with a component of the vapor compression cycle. When said at least one valve is in a second position the economizer module is arranged in series with said component of the vapor compression cycle.
HEAT EXCHANGING APPARATUS
A heat exchanging apparatus is adapted for differences in piping conditions at installation sites, reducing man-hours for manufacturing, management and installation for cost reduction. The heat exchanging apparatus includes a case open upward, a heat exchange unit housed in the case, and a storage tank arranged at an upper section of the case. A heat transfer medium inlet and a heat transfer medium outlet are open in the same direction at both ends of a heat transfer medium circulation pipe. A heat exchange fluid discharge port for discharging heat exchange fluid having dropped in the case is formed on one of side walls of the case either in the same direction as or in the opposite direction to the opening direction of the heat transfer medium inlet and the heat transfer medium outlet so that the heat exchange unit can be vertically taken in and out of the case.
Integrated separator and distributor
A separator and distributor assembly for a falling film evaporator housed within the evaporator shell includes a housing defining a separation volume, a refrigerant inlet configured to admit a liquid and vapor refrigerant flow into the separation volume and one or more refrigerant gutters extending along a lengthwise axis of the housing. The refrigerant gutter has a gutter inlet at a bottom of the separation volume, and the one or more refrigerant gutters are configured to receive separated liquid refrigerant from the separation volume. One or more sparge channels are in fluid communication with the refrigerant gutters. The sparge channel includes one or more sparge openings at a top of the sparge channel vertically below the gutter inlet. The one or more sparge openings are configured to flow liquid refrigerant therefrom.
INDIRECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING SYSTEM
An indirect evaporative cooling system for cooling a space adjacent to or containing an ablution bay is described. The indirect evaporative cooling system includes a greywater source from the ablution bay and evaporative cooler apparatus located above the space to be cooled in a dome shaped housing. The evaporative cooler apparatus includes a wet channel, at least one spray nozzle, and a dry channel. The at least one spray nozzle is located at the top of the evaporative cooler apparatus and is fluidly connected to the greywater source and the wet channel. The wet channel is located directly above the dry channel. A first side of the dry channel is connected to a first opening with a fan and outside air.
INDIRECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING SYSTEM
An indirect evaporative cooling system for cooling a space adjacent to or containing an ablution bay is described. The indirect evaporative cooling system includes a greywater source from the ablution bay and evaporative cooler apparatus located above the space to be cooled in a dome shaped housing. The evaporative cooler apparatus includes a wet channel, at least one spray nozzle, and a dry channel. The at least one spray nozzle is located at the top of the evaporative cooler apparatus and is fluidly connected to the greywater source and the wet channel. The wet channel is located directly above the dry channel. A first side of the dry channel is connected to a first opening with a fan and outside air.
Falling film evaporator
A falling film evaporator (100), a housing (101) thereof being accommodated with a heat exchange tube (304), a perforated plate (205) and a spraying tube (202), the perforated plate (205) being provided between the spraying tube (202) and the heat exchange tube (304), such that refrigerant sprayed from the spraying tube (202) is sprayed onto the surface of the heat exchange tube (304) by means of distribution of the perforated plate (205); spraying openings (301) on the spraying tube (202) have a strip shape, and the extension direction of the openings is perpendicular to the length direction of the spraying tube (202). By means of configuring the length direction of the spraying tube (202) to be substantially perpendicular to the length direction of the heat exchange tube (304), refrigerant sprayed from the spraying openings (301) flows substantially in the length direction of the housing (101), the flow path of the refrigerant being lengthened, avoiding uneven spraying on the surface of the heat exchange tube (304).
HEAT EXCHANGER, FUEL CELL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A heat exchanger for a fuel cell is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes at least two tube bodies that are arranged at a distance from one another and are in each case structured so that a fluid can flow through internally and so that air can flow around externally. A water channel, through which water can flow fluidically separated from the fluid, is arranged in or on at least one tube body. At least one opening, via which the water channel communicates fluidically with an external environment of the at least one tube body, is provided on the at least one tube body. The at least one opening is arranged in the at least one tube body so that at least one of the tube bodies can be wetter with water, which is guided through the water channel and escapes the water channel through the at least one opening.
System and method for evaporative cooling of a heated apparatus
A system is provided for rapidly cooling a pot or boiler. The system includes a cylindrical or semi-cylindrical tube operatively connected to the pot or boiler. The tube also includes a means for attaching a water source or hose. Finally, the tube may also include a series of holes or nozzles for directing a stream or spray of water towards the outer surface of the pot or boiler. The system may be built into the pot or boiler or may be a standalone, removable and adjustable system for use on multiple different pots or boilers.
