A buffered multi-fluid heat exchanger and a buffered multi-fluid heat exchange process pertaining to the heat exchange equipment and process sector is disclosed. The heat exchanger (1) comprises a lower tubing or tube bundles (2) through which flows hot process fluid “Q” to be cooled; upper tubing or tube bundles (3) through which flows cold process fluid “F” to be heated, parallel to and spaced apart from the lower tubing (2); a vessel (4) for the tubing (2, 3) provided with inlet (2′) and outlet (2″) nozzles of the tubing (2), inlet (3′) and outlet (3″) nozzles of the tubing (3), and a portion of buffer fluid “T” that fills part of the vessel (4) that covers the lower tubing (2) through which circulates the hot process liquid “Q” to be cooled.

The present invention relates to an EGR cooler for a vehicle capable of increasing space utilization with a compact configuration, increasing an area in which exhaust gas exchanges heat with a cooling fluid, and reducing a pressure difference in exhaust gas at an exhaust gas inlet and an exhaust gas outlet since a plurality of gas tubes installed in a housing, respectively, are configured of a flat portion, a first bent portion, and a second bent portion and a length of the flat portion is longer than a height of the first bent portion and the second bent portion.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger includes a shell housing a plurality of tubes and defining an exhaust fluid flow path within a first volume enclosed by the shell. The outer surfaces of the plurality of tubes are in fluid communication with the exhaust fluid flow path. The heat exchanger includes a cap attached to a first end of the shell and defining a second volume. A header is configured to separate the first volume from the second volume, flex with thermal expansion, and define tube inlet and outlet positions. The tube inlets and outlets are in fluid communication with a source fluid flow path, and each tube is substantially U-shaped and defines a flow path of the source fluid within the exhaust fluid flow path. The heat exchanger includes at least one longitudinal flow baffle within the shell configured to reduce an amount of exhaust fluid that may bypass the tubes.

Exemplary embodiments are directed to swimming pool heat exchangers including a housing and one or more tube assemblies disposed within the housing. Each of the tube assemblies includes an elongated titanium tube and at least one fin welded to an outer surface of the elongated titanium tube. The elongated titanium tube and the at least one welded fin allow for corrosion resistance to swimming pool water while simultaneously allowing for improved heat transfer from the heat exchanger to the swimming pool water.

A cooling apparatus (1) for cooling a fluid by means of surface water comprises a plurality of tubes (10) for containing and transporting the fluid to be cooled in their interior, the tubes (10) being intended to be at least partially exposed to the surface water during operation of the cooling apparatus (1). Furthermore, the cooling apparatus (1) comprises a plurality of light sources (21, 22) for producing light that hinders fouling of the exterior of the tubes (10), the light sources (21, 22) being dimensioned and positioned with respect to the tubes (10) so as to cast anti-fouling light over the exterior of the tubes (10), wherein the light sources (21, 22) have a generally elongated shape, and wherein the light sources (21, 22) are arranged in at least two mutually different orientations in the cooling apparatus (1).
