MULTI-CAVITY TUBES FOR AIR-OVER EVAPORATIVE HEAT EXCHANGER
20220325957 · 2022-10-13 ·

An air-over evaporative heat exchanger with multi-lobed or “peanut” shaped tubes replacing conventional round or elliptical tubes. The tubes have a narrow horizontal cross section and tall vertical cross section to allow the multiplication of surface area in the same coil volume while maintaining or increasing the open-air passage area. This configuration allows the coil to have an overall external heat transfer coefficient much higher than a conventional coil, while the tube shape allows the use of thinner material, reducing the weight and cost of the heat exchanger.

The present disclosure discloses a heat exchanger including a group of collecting pipes and a number of heat exchange assemblies. Each heat exchange assembly includes a fin plate and at least one heat exchange tube. The heat exchange assembly includes a main heat exchange area. The heat exchange tube is connected with the fin plate. The heat exchange tube at least partially protrudes from at least one side of the fin plate. In addition, in the main heat exchange area corresponding to two adjacent heat exchange assemblies, at least two adjacent heat exchange tubes are staggered along an array direction of the heat exchange assemblies. The two heat exchange tubes respectively belong to the two adjacent heat exchange assemblies. The present disclosure is beneficial to improve the performance of the heat exchanger.

Gas furnace

A gas furnace is provided. The gas furnace includes a combustion part in which a fuel gas is burnt to generate a combustion gas, a heat exchanger having a gas flow path through which the combustion gas flows, a blower configured to blow air around the heat exchanger, and an inducer configured to discharge the combustion gas from the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes at least one single path in which a single gas flow path is formed a single-multiple return bend configured to communicate with the single path and convert a flow direction of the combustion gas, and at least one multiple path having a plurality of paths that communicate with the single-multiple return bend and form multiple gas flow paths.

Systems and methods for providing a fin structure. The fin structure may be employed in a heat exchanger. The fin structure comprises: a support structure; and a plurality of fins disposed on the support structure via additive manufacturing so as to facilitate a change in direction of a fluid flowing through the fin structure. The fins comprise first fins that have centers arranged in accordance with a phyllotaxis or Fibonacci pattern.

Refrigeration apparatus

A refrigeration apparatus pertaining to the invention can suppress clogging due to polymers formed by the polymerization of refrigerant and improve safety. The refrigeration apparatus is equipped with a refrigeration cycle in which a compressor, a condenser, an expansion mechanism, and an evaporator are connected in a loop. The refrigeration apparatus is equipped with a polymer catcher. The polymer catcher is attached to piping interconnecting an outlet side of the compressor and an inlet side of the condenser and catches polymers of refrigerant circulating in the refrigeration cycle. The refrigerant includes a compound represented by a molecular formula having one or more carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds.

A water block assembly includes first and second water block units having respective first and second fluid conduits. The second water block unit is stacked on the first water block unit. The second fluid conduit operates either in parallel with the first fluid conduit or fluidly independent therefrom, such that cooled fluid is fed to the first and second fluid conduits. The first water block unit includes a first base portion and a first cover portion disposed on and affixed to the first base portion. The first cover portion defines a first fluid inlet and a first fluid outlet of the first fluid conduit. The second water block unit includes a second base portion and a second cover portion disposed on and affixed to the second base portion. The second cover portion defines a second fluid inlet and a second fluid outlet of the second fluid conduit.
