An air thermal conditioning system for at least one of heating air and cooling air. The air thermal conditioning system comprises one or more heat exchanger units that include at least one fluid chamber defined by first and second multilayer sheets. The first and second multilayer sheets each comprise an inner layer defining the at least one fluid chamber; a middle layer; and an outer layer that defines external opposing faces of the heat exchanger unit, the middle layer disposed between the inner layer and outer layer.

High pressure capable liquid to refrigerant heat exchanger

A liquid to refrigerant heat exchanger includes a coolant volume that is at least partially defined by a plastic housing and by a metal closure plate. The plastic housing is sealingly joined to the closure plate along an outer periphery of the closure plate. The metal closure plate can be part of a brazed assembly that defines a continuous refrigerant flow path through the heat exchanger between a refrigerant inlet port and a refrigerant outlet port.

A thermal bridge includes an upper bridge assembly including upper plates arranged in an upper plate stack and a lower bridge assembly including lower plates arranged in a lower plate stack. The thermal bridge includes upper spring elements extending from upper plates having upper mating interfaces engaging lower plates to bias the upper plates in a first biasing direction generally away from the lower bridge assembly. The thermal bridge includes lower spring elements extending from lower plates having lower mating interfaces engaging upper plates to bias the lower plates in a second biasing direction generally away from the upper bridge assembly. A bridge frame having connecting elements extends through the upper plates and the lower plates to hold the upper plates in the upper plate stack and to hold the lower plates in the lower plate stack.

HEAT EXCHANGER

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat exchange tubes stacked with a gap through which a first fluid can pass. The heat exchange tube includes: an internal flow path through which a second fluid for exchanging heat with the first fluid and which includes a folded portion; a plurality of slits provided between two flow path portions in the internal flow paths, the two flow path portions each extending from the folded portion and facing each other at an interval; and a plurality of protruding support portions in contact with another adjacent heat exchange tube to form the gap. As viewed in a stacking direction of the plurality of heat exchange tubes, at least one of the plurality of slits extends in a state where a center in an extending direction thereof deviates from a straight line connecting the two adjacent protruding support portions.
