Methods of coupling a heat exchanger into a climate control system and associated systems are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving a housing to receive the heat exchanger. The housing includes a cover panel disposed over an opening that has a projection projecting at least partially into the housing, and a first pair of conduits extending through the cover panel in a first direction. In addition, the method includes removing the cover panel from the opening, flipping the cover panel, extending a second pair of conduits through the cover panel in the first direction, and forming connections between the first pair of refrigerant conduits and the second pair of conduits. Further, the method includes covering the opening in the heat exchanger housing with the cover panel so that the projection of the cover panel projects away from the housing and encloses the connections.

Multiple cooled supports for heat exchange tubes in heat exchanger

A heat exchanger includes a casing configured to direct a working fluid therethrough, and at least one heat exchanger (HE) section in the casing. Each HE section includes a pair of spaced supports. The spaced supports include: an upstream support and a downstream support with at least one of them including a coolant carrying body configured to direct a coolant therethrough. A first cross-support couples to and extends between respective upstream and downstream supports; and at least one second cross-support couples to and extends between the respective upstream and downstream supports. Cross-supports are vertically distanced from adjacent cross-supports. A plurality of tube positioners coupled to each cross-support position a plurality of heat exchange tubes extending across a working fluid path through the casing. The tube positioners and the cooling of the cross-supports allows ferritic material to be used for once-through, duct-fired HRSGs.

A heat exchanger includes tubes arranged in a stacking direction and a tank connected to the tubes. A tube of the tubes has a pair of flat portions having flat plate shapes facing each other, and a curved portion connecting ends of the pair of flat portions. The tank includes a plate having insertion holes into which the tubes are inserted, and container. The plate has a first portion along a longitudinal direction of the tubes, and a second portion extending from an end of the first portion toward the container. When the plate is viewed in the stacking direction, a boundary between the first portion and the second portion is shifted from a boundary between each of the pair of flat portions and the curved portion toward the pair of flat portions.

Oxidative coupling of methane for olefin production

The present disclosure provides natural gas and petrochemical processing systems, including oxidative coupling of methane reactor systems that may integrate process inputs and outputs to cooperatively utilize different inputs and outputs in the production of higher hydrocarbons from natural gas and other hydrocarbon feedstocks. The present disclosure also provides apparatuses and methods for heat exchange, such as an apparatus that can perform boiling and steam super-heating in separate chambers in order to reach a target outlet temperature that is relatively constant as the apparatus becomes fouled. A system of the present disclosure may include an oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) subsystem that generates a product stream comprising compounds with two or more carbon atoms, and a dual compartment heat exchanger downstream of, and fluidically coupled to, the OCM subsystem.
