The present disclosure provides a louvered fin including a leading edge, a trailing edge, and a surface extending between the leading edge and the trailing edge. The surface defines a first set of holes along a first axis, a second set of holes along a second axis and offset from the first set of holes, and a third set of holes along a third axis and offset from the second set of holes. Each of the first axis, the second axis, and the third axis extends substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the fin. A first offset distance between the second and first set of holes is greater than a second offset distance between the third and second set of holes. The second and the third set of holes define a substantially obtuse trapezoidal matrix.

Indirect heat exchanger having circuit tubes with varying dimensions

An improved indirect heat exchanger including a plurality of coil circuits, with each coil circuit comprised of an indirect heat exchange section tube run or plate. Each tube run or plate has at least one change in its geometric shape or may have a progressive change in its geometric shape proceeding from the inlet to the outlet of the circuit. The change in geometric shape along the circuit length allows simultaneously balancing of the external airflow, internal heat transfer coefficients, internal fluid side pressure drop, cross sectional area and heat transfer surface area to optimize heat transfer.

A heat exchanger having a first core with a first end and a second end and having a first plurality of hot flow channels fluidly isolated from a first plurality of cool flow channels. The first plurality of hot flow channels and the first plurality of cool flow channels can be arranged in a first checkerboard pattern. The heat exchanger also having a first header connected to the first end of the first core, a first hot flow inlet section connected to the first plurality of hot flow channels, and a first curved portion with a first inner hot flow route that is longer than a first outer hot flow route. The first header also having a first cool flow outlet section connected to the first plurality of cool flow channels with the first cool flow outlet section being fluidly isolated from the hot flow inlet section.

Swimming Pool Heat Exchangers And Associated Systems And Methods

Exemplary embodiments are directed to swimming pool heat exchangers including a housing and one or more tube assemblies disposed within the housing. Each of the tube assemblies includes an elongated titanium tube and at least one fin welded to an outer surface of the elongated titanium tube. The elongated titanium tube and the at least one welded fin allow for corrosion resistance to swimming pool water while simultaneously allowing for improved heat transfer from the heat exchanger to the swimming pool water.

EVOLUTIVE PRECOOLER

An aircraft heat exchanger arranged longitudinally and including a casing with an inner chamber configured so that coolant flows longitudinally from an inlet to an outlet, a plurality of laterally spaced longitudinally extending inner chamber plates, and a plurality of channels defined between contiguous plates. Each plate includes a leading edge oriented towards the inlet and configured to divert coolant towards the channels. A plurality of the plates include an inner hollow area configured to conduct a flow of hot bleed air therethrough. Leading edges of a first group of plates are arranged in a stepped pattern. A gap defined between the first group of plates and a first casing lateral wall establishes a fluid coolant communication through the first group of plates between the casing inlet and outlet. The lateral distance between each leading edge of the first group of plates and the first lateral wall decreases longitudinally.
