ADAPTIVE HEAT EXCHANGER
Disclosed is a heat exchanger comprising a first flow path with an inlet, an outlet and a first surface and a second flow path with an inlet, an outlet and a second surface wherein at least one of the first surface and the second surface has a portion consisting of a shape memory alloy which has a first shape at a first temperature, a second shape at a second temperature different than the first temperature, and returns to the first shape in response to a return to the first temperature.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger includes flat tubes spaced apart from each other and located in parallel, a header that connects end portions of the flat tubes, and a fin joined between the flat tubes adjacent to each other. The fin is provided with a break line that breaks the fin when bending is performed. A cut is provided at both ends of the break line on the fin including a first end and a second end, and extends parallel to the airflow direction from the first end to the second end.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger, the heat exchanger including flat tubes and fins. The flat tubes are provided at intervals along the thickness direction of the flat tubes. The flat tubes are internally provided with fluid channels extending along the longitudinal direction of the flat tubes. The fins are provided between adjacent flat tubes. A plurality of fins between adjacent flat tubes are provided at intervals along the transverse direction of the flat tubes. Each fin extends along the longitudinal direction of the flat tubes. Ventilation windows are provided on the fins.
Adjustable heat sink fin spacing
A heat sink includes a threaded rod. The threaded rod includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion may engage with a first heat sink fin and a second portion may engage with a second heat sink fin. The first portion includes a first external thread of a first diameter. The second portion includes a second external thread also of the first diameter and of different pitch than the first external thread. For example, the pitch of a first knurl of the threaded rod may be smaller than the pitch of a second threaded knurl of the threaded rod. The spacing of the heat sink fins may be adjusted based upon the current operating conditions of the electronic device to maintain an optimal temperature of a heat generating device during device operation.
Removable fin heat exchanger systems and methods
The present disclosure relates to a fin heat exchanger, including a header, a set of tubes fluidly coupled to the header, and a mount configured to engage with and disengage from the set of tubes. The mount includes a fin section configured to extend between adjacent tubes of the set of tubes in an engaged mount configuration, and configured to be separated from the set of tubes in an unengaged mount configuration.
BAFFLE ASSEMBLY AND HEAT EXCHANGER WITH EXPANDING BAFFLES
An improved baffle assembly for heat exchanger tubes comprising a shaft and at least one opposing pair of expanding baffles positioned coaxially on the shaft, each expanding baffle comprising a central hub portion and a plurality of extension portions each radiating outward from the hub portion at complementary oblique angles so that the central hub portions of each baffle are spaced apart along the shaft and the distal ends of the extension portions of each baffle are brought into physical contact.
Fan casing assembly with cooler and method of moving
An apparatus and method for cooling a fluid within a turbine engine. A fan casing assembly for the turbine engine can include an annular fan casing with a peripheral wall having a flow path defined through the casing. A fan casing cooler includes a body to confront the peripheral wall with at least one conduit configured to carry a flow of heated fluid to convectively cool the heated fluid with a flow of air through the flow path.
PASSIVE HEX FLOW REGULATION
A heat exchanger is configured to adjust a flow restriction of flow passages through the heat exchanger in response to changes in temperature of elements that define at least a portion of the flow passages. The elements include a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion, and a second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is different from the first coefficient of thermal expansion.
Adjustable heat sink fin spacing
A heat sink includes a first fin and a second fin. The spacing between the first fin and the second fin may be adjusted by a threaded rod. The threaded rod may include a first portion that is engaged with the first fin and a second portion that is engaged with the second fin. The thread pitch of the first portion and the second portion may differ. For example, the pitch of a first internal thread of the first fin may be smaller than the pitch of a second internal thread of the second fin. The spacing of the heat sink fins may be adjusted based upon the current operating conditions of the electronic device to maintain an optimal temperature of a heat generating device during device operation.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger includes a plurality of flat tubes spaced apart from each other and located in parallel, a header configured to connect end portions of the plurality of flat tubes, and a fin joined between the flat tubes adjacent to each other, wherein the fin is provided with a break line configured to break the fin when bending is performed.
