A heat exchanger includes tubes and a header tank. The header tank includes a core plate and a tank body. The core plate includes a tube connection surface and a receiving portion that houses an end portion of the tank body. The receiving portion includes a bottom wall and an inner wall that connects the bottom wall to the tube connection surface. The tube connection surface and the inner wall are connected to a rib. The rib is located between adjacent two tubes and inclined with respect to a longitudinal direction of the tubes. The rib includes one end connected to the tube connection surface and an other end connected to the inner wall. The tubes includes lateral ends in the width direction, and a clearance, which has a specified dimension, is defined between the inner wall and the lateral ends in the width direction.

A heat transfer element is disclosed. The heat transfer element can be configured to directly bond to a metal surface of an element. The heat transfer element can include a chamber that is defined at least in part by a housing that has a metal portion. The heat transfer element can also include a phase change material disposed in the chamber. The phase change material can be in thermal communication with the metal portion. The Heat transfer element can be bonded to the element to define a bonded structure.

A heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger body having a plurality of layer portions each having a plurality of flow paths, and having a configuration in which adjacent layer portions are joined to each other, an inflow header being configured that a fluid is introduced into the inflow header to flow into the plurality of flow paths, an outflow header being configured that a fluid flowing through the plurality of flow paths merges, a cover portion covering all joint portions of the adjacent layer portions or all joint portions of components of layer portions, the joint portions exposed on an outer surface of the heat exchanger body at a portion other than a portion where the inflow header and the outflow header are disposed, and a lead-out portion connected to the cover portion and forming an internal flow path communicating with a space between the cover portion and the heat exchanger body. The lead-out portion is configured to emit a fluid to a predetermined region set in advance.

HEAT EXCHANGER FOR MOTOR VEHICLE

The invention relates to a heat exchanger for motor vehicles, comprising: a core (2) comprising a tube bundle of open ends stacked tubes (3) and comprising a top and a bottom extreme tubes (3a,3b); headers (4,5), each having a shaped flange (4a,5a) with corners (4b,5b) and being connected with open ends of the tubes (3,3a,3b); and side housing parts (6, 7) situated on opposite sides of the core (2) and extending at least partly between the extreme tubes (3a,3b) and between the header (4,5). At least one of the side housing parts (6,7) have at least one protrusion (10) projecting from the side housing part (6,7) in a corner thereof and bent to contact the side surface of the tube bundle; the at least one protrusion (10) has an external surface (10′) opposite to the tube bundle and formed into a shape matching the profile shape of the flange (4a,5a) of the header (4,5) in its corner (4b,5b); wherein the said external surface (10′) of the at least one protrusion (10) abuts the flange (4a,5a) of the said header (4,5) to ensure a liquid-tight connection of the header (4, 5) with the flange (4a, 5a) at the corner (4b,5b) thereof.

A plurality of connecting structures which together provide a rigid connection between the core and the housing, wherein each of the connecting structures provides a connection between the top of the core and the top wall of the housing, or between the bottom of the core and the bottom wall of the housing. Wherein each of the connecting structures has a first connecting element and a second connecting element. The first connecting element is associated with the core and the second connecting element is associated with the housing.

HIGH PRESSURE CAPABLE LIQUID TO REFRIGERANT HEAT EXCHANGER

A liquid to refrigerant heat exchanger includes a coolant volume that is at least partially defined by a plastic housing and by a metal closure plate. The plastic housing is sealingly joined to the closure plate along an outer periphery of the closure plate. The metal closure plate can be part of a brazed assembly that defines a continuous refrigerant flow path through the heat exchanger between a refrigerant inlet port and a refrigerant outlet port.

Housing is developed with a first connecting fitting and a second connecting fitting for each fluid. Heat transfer element is disposed in a volume completely enclosed in a housing and is developed for through-conduction of the first fluid. Housing is developed for conduction of the second fluid about the heat transfer element. Connecting fittings for second fluid are either disposed on the first housing element and the connecting fittings for the first fluid are disposed on the second housing element, wherein within the second housing at least one flow path for conducting the first fluid is implemented which extends between a connecting fitting and a collector region or the connecting fittings for the fluids are disposed on the first housing element.
