CRIMPING FRAME OR CRIMPING BASE
A crimping frame or crimping base for a charge air cooler may include a circumferential raised rim including a plurality of crimping slots. The plurality of crimping slots may each include two longitudinal sides and two narrow sides. The two longitudinal sides may be disposed opposite one another and may extend parallel to the rim. The two narrow sides may be stiffened via a bent reinforcement. The bent reinforcement and the rim may be structured as a single piece.
HEAT EXCHANGER COMPRISING CONNECTORS WITH SUPPORTS
A single-component exchanger permitting a transfer of heat between a first fluid and a second fluid is provided. The heat exchanger includes, from bottom to top in the direction of manufacture; at least two distribution regions, at least two collection regions, at least two inlet connectors adjoining the at least two distribution regions and at least two outlet connectors adjoining the at least two collection regions. The heat exchanger also includes at least one inlet located on each inlet connector, at least one outlet located on each outlet connector, and an exchange region permitting a transfer of heat between the channels of the first fluid and the channels of the second fluid. Each connector includes supports in the inner upper part thereof.
Header for heat exchanger
A heat exchanger for a motor vehicle comprises a fluid reservoir having at least one continuous sidewall. A plurality of first coupling features are formed in a base of the sidewall, wherein the first coupling features are outward extending protrusions. The heat exchanger further comprises a header configured to receive a portion of the fluid reservoir therein. The header includes a mounting tab having a plurality of second coupling features and a plurality of reinforcing features alternately formed therein. Each of the second coupling features are cavities configured to receive a portion of a corresponding one of the first coupling features therein. A receiving surface of each of the second coupling features cooperates with an engaging surface of the corresponding one of the first coupling features.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger having a core. A header is on a side of the core, and a tank is brazed to the header. A connector is brazed to an outer surface of the tank. A welding aperture is defined by the tank beneath the connector. A weld at the welding aperture secures the connector to the tank prior to brazing of the connector and the tank together.
PLATE-TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER HAVING BRACKET-REINFORCING STRUCTURE
The present invention relates to a plate-type heat exchanger having a bracket- reinforcing structure. An object of the present invention is to provide a plate-type heat exchanger having a bracket-reinforcing structure that has a reinforcing plate attached to prevent exposure of the plate-type heat exchanger in a region in which a bracket plate of an assembly of the plate-type heat exchanger and the bracket plate is connected to an external device, thereby suppressing the corrosion of the plate-type heat exchanger and improving the durability of the plate-type heat exchanger.
A TANK ASSEMBLY
A tank assembly includes a heat exchanger tank and at least one side plate. Each heat exchanger tank includes a pair of foot portions and a pair of top portions. The foot portions are crimped to a corresponding header of a heat exchanger core. The top portions are configured with first engagement elements. The at least one side plate is disposed on at least one side of the heat exchanger core and is configured with second engagement elements. The second engagement elements engage with the corresponding first engagement elements to urge the heat exchanger tank towards the header.
CHARGE AIR COOLER
A charge air cooler includes a battery of round tubes that extend between a first header plate and a second header plate arranged at a first end and a second end, respectively, of the charge air cooler. Stresses in corner tubes caused by differential thermal expansion between the tubes and side plates of the charge air cooler are reduced by having a reduced thickness over a portion of the header plates, or by directing a portion of the coolant through the side plates, or both.
Heat exchanger assembly and outdoor unit of refrigerating apparatus
A heat exchanger assembly includes a header extending in a longitudinal direction, a plurality of heat transfer tubes aligned along the longitudinal direction of the header and connected to the header, a plurality of fins secured to the heat transfer tubes, a first corrective member and a second corrective member. The first corrective member extends along the longitudinal direction of the header on a downstream side of the heat transfer tubes or the header along a direction of an air flow. The second corrective member extends along the longitudinal direction of the header on an upstream side of the heat transfer tubes or the header along the direction of the air flow. A sandwiched object is at least any one of the heat transfer tubes, the fins, and the header. The sandwiched object is sandwiched by the first and second corrective members.
REVERSE HEADER DESIGN FOR THERMAL CYCLE
A header for a header tank of a heat exchanger comprises a header wall defining a tube receiving portion having a plurality of longitudinally spaced tube openings formed therethrough. The tube receiving portion includes a planar portion and an adjacent offset portion. The planar portion is disposed on a first plane and the offset portion has a variable distance from the first plane as the offset portion extends away from the planar portion with respect to a longitudinal direction of the header.
HEAT EXCHANGER WITH REINFORCING MEANS
A heat exchanger for vehicle arranged to allow an internal circulation of at least one fluid, comprising at least a heat exchanger bundle and at least a duct (10) at least partially outside the heat exchanger bundle, the duct (10) penetrating into the heat exchanger bundle by a hole arranged in a terminal plate (8) of the heat exchanger bundle, the duct (10) comprising at least a collar (42) lining the hole, characterized in that the heat exchanger comprises a reinforcing mean (20) in touch with the collar (42) of the duct (10) and with the terminal plate (8) of the heat exchanger bundle.
