Three-way modulating valve for temperature control
A temperature sensor for a first fluid senses a temperature of the first fluid downstream of a heat exchanger. A supply for a second fluid changes a temperature of the first fluid. The supply for the second fluid passes through the heat exchanger. A valve is positioned upstream of the said heat exchanger on the supply for the second fluid, and controls a flow rate of the second fluid diverted into a bypass line compared to a flow rate of the second fluid directed through the heat exchanger, with the three-way valve controlled by a control in response to feedback from said temperature sensor. The valve changes the respective flow rates delivered into the bypass line and through the said heat exchanger in a non-linear manner with a change in valve position. A manned spaceship is also disclosed.
WATER HEATER BYPASS VALVES AND DEVICES THERETO
The disclosed technology can include a bypass valve assembly having a partition that can fluidly separate an inlet and an outlet of a fluid heating system. A first bypass valve and a second bypass valve can be mounted to the partition and configured to permit a fluid to flow between the inlet and the outlet. The first bypass valve and the second bypass valve can be configured to transition between a closed state and an open state. The first bypass valve and the second bypass valves can each have a spring configured to transition the respective first and second bypass valve from the closed state in response to experiencing a pressure that is greater than or equal to a respective first or second predetermined pressure. The second predetermined pressure can be greater than the first predetermined pressure.
Air conditioning apparatus
An air conditioning apparatus includes a heat exchange device that connects an outdoor unit to an indoor unit and that includes a heat exchanger configured to perform heat exchange between refrigerant and water. The heat exchanger reduces an amount of refrigerant used to perform a cooling operation or a heating operation.
Gas furnace to produce heated air and optionally hot water via a bypass pipe

The gas furnace includes: a coupling box serving as an intermediary to connect the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger; a collect box connected to the secondary heat exchanger, for letting in the combustion gas passed through the secondary heat exchanger; an inducer connected to the collect box, for inducing a flow of the combustion gas; and a bypass pipe connected to one side of the coupling box and including a bypass pipe for guiding the combustion gas passed through the primary heat exchanger to a hot water supply tank for supplying hot water to an indoor space.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger comprising a first manifold and a second manifold connected by a bundle of tubes, configured to provide at least an entry pass and an exit pass for a heat exchange fluid, further comprising an inlet port associated with the entry pass and an outlet port associated with the exit pass, wherein the exit pass is fluidically connected with the outlet port through a first opening, the first opening being connected with the outlet port through an additional channel outside of the manifolds, characterized in that the exit pass is further fluidically connected with the outlet port through a second opening so that the path for the heat exchange fluid to the outlet port is shorter from the second opening than from the first opening.
Folded heat exchanger for cooled cooling air
A heat exchanger (HEX) for cooling air in a gas turbine engine is provided. The HEX may comprise a central manifold comprising an inlet portion, a first outlet portion, and a second outlet portion. The HEX may further comprise a plurality of tubes coupled to the central manifold, the plurality of tubes comprising at least a first tube, a second tube, a third tube, and a fourth tube, a shroud at least partially encasing said plurality of tubes, and a cooling air flow path defined by at least one of the shroud, the plurality of tubes, and an outer surface of the central manifold, wherein the cooling air flow path is orthogonal to said plurality of tubes.
Stacked plate heat exchanger
A stacked plate heat exchanger for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The stacked plate heat exchanger includes a plurality of elongated stacked plates extending in a longitudinal direction and stacked against one another perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction in a stacking direction. First hollow spaces and second hollow spaces are disposed between adjacent stacked plates, through which alternatingly a first medium and a second medium flows. At least one stacked plate has a rib structure disposed on a respective plate surface, structured and arranged to provide a plurality of flow passages within the respective hollow space. The rib structure has a guiding region and two distribution regions. The rib structure differs in the guiding region and in the two distribution regions by shape and size of the plurality of flow passages.

The support and oil control device includes a control group having a housing body projecting from the first surface next to the heat exchanger having a housing cavity fluidically connected to the inlet and outlet ducts and an exchanger duct and a valve member in the housing cavity including an obturator element and a control element which moves the obturator element according to oil operating conditions.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THERMAL STORAGE SOLID PHASE FORMATION REMOVAL
Heat exchangers for thermal storage systems include a valve that can direct process fluid passing through the heat exchanger through supplemental heat exchanger tubing based on a temperature of the process fluid. The supplemental heat exchanger tubing can be located in areas where ice formation can occur during freezing of the storage fluid of the thermal storage system, but apart from the standard flow path for the heat exchanger. The valve can be a thermally-actuated valve. The thermally actuated valve can be set to divert flow of the process fluid to the supplemental tubing when the process fluid is at or above a melting temperature of the storage fluid. Methods can include selectively flowing process fluid through supplemental heat exchange tubing when it is at a temperature greater than the melting point of a storage material.
