According to the present disclosure, a laptop may be provided with a compartment including a moveable segment, an expandable heat exchanger with a movable section, and an expandable fan unit. The release of the movable segment of the compartment from a lower portion of the compartment produces an opening in the compartment and the movable section of the expandable heat exchanger is extended downward, and the expandable fan unit is lowered when the movable segment of the compartment is released.

A method of manufacturing a battery pack comprises providing one or more cells 30, positioning a flexible duct 50/230 proximally to the surface of at least one of the one or more cells 30 such that heat can be exchanged between the duct 50/230 and the at least one of the one or more cells 30, inserting fluid into the duct 50/230 and at least partially surrounding at least a part of the duct 50/230 with a potting means. The potting means may be expandable foam.

A method for producing a microchannel bundle heat exchanger (1) includes providing a multiplicity of tubular microchannels (2); incorporating the microchannels (2) in a weaving device; interweaving the tubular microchannels (2) with a plurality of warp wires (3) in the weaving device, and generating at least one heat exchanger mat (4) from the tubular microchannels (2) which are connected to one another by means of the warp wires (3); shaping at least one heat exchanger pack (8) from the at least one heat exchanger mat (4), in particular by folding and/or rolling up the heat exchanger mat (4); and adhesively bonding the tubular microchannels (2) at two mutually opposite end sides (9, 10) of the heat exchanger pack (8).

The present invention provides systems, methods, and articles for temperature conditioning a surface. An article is formed from a first layer having a plurality of openings and a second layer having a corresponding plurality of openings. At least one interior chamber constructed and configured to retain a fluid without leaking is defined between an interior surface of the first layer and an interior surface of the second layer. At least one flexible fluid supply line delivers the fluid to the at least one interior chamber. At least one flexible fluid return line removes the fluid from the at least one interior chamber. At least one control unit that is operable to selectively cool or heat the fluid is attached to the at least one flexible fluid supply line and the at least one flexible fluid return line.
Heat exchanger and module thereof
A module for constructing therefrom a heat exchanger is provided. The module includes two manifolds and a plurality of parallelly arranged mats spanning between the manifolds. Each mat includes a plurality of heat exchange tubes arranged so as to define a plane, the heat exchange tubes being in fluid communication with the manifolds and spanning therebetween. Each of the manifolds includes selectively sealable end openings formed in facing ends thereof and defining a longitudinal flow path substantially perpendicular to the tubes and parallel with the planes defined thereby. Each of the manifolds further includes selectively sealable side openings on facing sides thereof and each defining a lateral flow path substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal flow path and to the planes defined by the tubes.

A header (10) for a heat exchanger, in particular for a charge air cooler, comprising an opening plane (12) with plurality of openings (14) for attachment of tubes, a collar (13) encircling the perimeter of the opening plane (12) and protruding at least partially above the opening plane (12), wherein the header (10) further comprises guiding protrusions (11a, 11b) located along inner perimeter of the collar (13) adjacent to said openings (14) and configured to guide the tubes into the openings (14) upon insertion, wherein the openings (14) have substantially rectangular shape with longer sides (14a) and shorter sides (14b) and are arranged in series along their longer sides (14a), wherein a first group of guiding protrusions (11a) is located adjacent the longer sides (14a) of the openings (14), while a second group of guiding protrusions (11b) is located adjacent the shorter sides (14b) of the openings (14).

A beverage container cooling unit has: (a) a housing having a slot for receiving a container therein, (b) a cooling element having a cold supply, (c) a heat conductive panel enabling heat transfer between a container provided in the slot and the cold supply; wherein the heat conductive panel has two material layers fixed against one another: (I) a first material layer defining a cooling surface facing the container receiving slot and an opposed surface, said first layer made of a material having a thermal expansion coefficient of X.sub.1; (ii) a second material layer having a contact surface facing positioned against the opposed surface of the first material layer and a second opposed surface, the second material layer having a thermal expansion coefficient of X.sub.2, different from X.sub.1, the difference in thermal expansion causing the conductive panel to bulge at a change in temperature.
Heat-dissipating sheet
To provide a heat-dissipating sheet having good close-contact properties with an adherend such as a heat-generating body and being easy to handle. A heat-dissipating sheet includes a heat-dissipating member including a graphite sheet, a first thermally conductive layer, and a second thermally conductive layer stacked in this order. The first thermally conductive layer contains a thermally conductive filler dispersed in a polymer matrix and has an outer shape larger than the graphite sheet when viewed in plan. The second thermally conductive layer contains a thermally conductive filler dispersed in a polymer matrix, is more flexible than the first thermally conductive layer, and has an outer shape identical to or smaller than the first thermally conductive layer when viewed in plan.

There are provided an apparatus for heat exchange by using a braided fabric woven from a thermally conductive wire material and a light emitting diode (LED) lighting device. The apparatus comprises a braided fabric (1) woven from a thermally conductive wire material, and a heat dissipating or absorbing object (2) is fixed with the braided fabric (1) by using methods such as welding, adhering with a thermally conductive adhesive and casting, so as to ensure that heat energy is effectively conducted between the heat dissipating or absorbing object (2) and the thermally conductive wire of the braided fabric (1), and heat is dissipated to air or absorbed from air by means of a heat dissipating surface of the thermally conductive wire of the braided fabric (1).
