SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING EFFICIENCY OF A HEAT SINK
A heatsink comprising a heat exchange device having a plurality of heat exchange elements each having a surface boundary with respect to a heat transfer fluid, having successive elements or regions having varying size scales. According to one embodiment, an accumulation of dust or particles on a surface of the heatsink is reduced by a removal mechanism. The mechanism can be thermal pyrolysis, vibration, blowing, etc. In the case of vibration, adverse effects on the system to be cooled may be minimized by an active or passive vibration suppression system.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CLEANING A TUBE BUNDLE OF A HEAT EXCHANGER CORE
A system capable of autonomous operation is disclosed for cleaning a tube bundle of a heat exchanger core. The system comprises a lance for directing a jet of fluid into spaces between the tubes of the bundle, a carriage for advancing the lance into the bundle, a mount movable relative to the carriage for holding the lance, and a sensor for detecting relative movement between the lance and the carriage, so as to detect when a reaction force acting on the lance upon encountering an obstruction in the tube bundle exceeds a predetermined limit.
Auto-indexing lance positioner apparatus and system
A system and an apparatus for positioning a plurality of flexible cleaning lances includes a frame removably fastened parallel a tube sheet of a heat exchanger. The apparatus includes a smart lance tractor drive for advancing and retracting one or more lance hoses through one or more lance guide tubes into tubes penetrating through the heat exchanger tube sheet, a controller, one or more AC induction sensors on the tubes operable to sense holes in the tube sheet, and a tumble box connected to the controller operable to generate electrical power to the AC induction sensor from an air pressure source, supply electrical power to the controller and distribute pneumatic power to pneumatic motors for positioning the tractor drive on the positioner frame. The tractor drive includes sensors for detection of mismatch between expected and actual lance positions and automated drive reversal operation to remove blockages within tubes being cleaned.
METHOD OF CLEANING HEAT EXCHANGERS OR TUBE BUNDLES USING A CLEANING STATION
A system, apparatus and method of cleaning tubes of a heat exchanger or a tube bundle that includes disengaging the heat exchanger or bundle from a use-position in a process or a plant; moving the heat exchanger or bundle to a cleaning station remote from the use-position; positioning the heat exchanger or tube bundle in front of a cleaning apparatus; providing water jet cleaning equipment on the cleaning apparatus; responding to programming in a computing device and controlling the water jet cleaning equipment and a cleaning operation; providing a pattern of tube openings defined in an end plate of the heat exchanger or bundle to the computing device; actuating the water jet cleaning equipment with the computing device; and manually or automatically performing a cleaning operation with the water jet cleaning equipment under control of the programming of the computing device and by following the provided pattern of tube openings.
Tubular Boiler with Incorporated Oven
The invention relates to a tubular boiler with a heat exchange tube with at least one helical layer situated in a heat exchange chamber, and which includes a set of laterally joined spirals. The boiler includes, an inner side of the helical layer, an oven that is rigidly joined to said layer and connected to a feeder by means of which fuel is supplied. The boiler also includes an output collector for collecting ash and slag, which connects the inside of the heat exchange chamber to the outside of the boiler, and a forced-air-current generator that generates a movement of air inside the boiler and directs it to the oven. This movement of air moves the ash and slag along the at least one helical layer to the output collector.
THERMOLYSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING RECOVERED CARBON BLACK AND FUEL FROM DISUSED TIRES
The invention relates to a thermolysis system and method for obtaining recovered carbon black and fuel from disused tires, which includes a thermolysis reactor and a flash vessel acting jointly to refine fuel without the need for post-treatment to clean same. During thermolysis, condensers are cleaned without needing to cut the flow or deviate the gas stream, since the deposits formed inside tubes of a heat exchange system are cleaned using a part of the fuel obtained. The carbon black obtained is comparable to existing semi-reinforcing carbon blacks. The obtained fuel has a high content of aromatic compounds, and its carbon content is reduced to 3% by weight, up to 0.8% by weight, with respect to fuels obtained in pyrolytic processes, without requiring post-treatment such as distillation processes or catalytic treatment.
