CLEANING TUBESHEETS OF HEAT EXCHANGERS
A heat exchange system includes a shell having an interior with an inlet and an outlet wherein a first fluid circuit is defined from the inlet, through a heat exchange volume within the interior of the shell, to the outlet. A tubesheet is mounted within the shell dividing between the heat exchange volume and a plenum of a second fluid circuit within the interior of the shell. A set of tubes extends through the heat exchange volume, a respective interior passage of each tube being in fluid communication with the plenum through a respective opening though the tubesheet. The second fluid circuit includes the plenum and interior passages of the tubes. A spray nozzle is mounted in the plenum of the second fluid circuit with a spray outlet directed toward the tubesheet for cleaning the tubesheet with a submerged impingement jet issued from the spray nozzle.

TUBE CLEANING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A heat exchanger cleaning system is disclosed which is capable of determining the position of a lance within a tube bundle of a heat exchanger core. The system comprises a lance for directing a jet of fluid into spaces between the tubes of the bundle, an arm mounted alongside the lance and movable relative thereto, an abutment mounted to an end of the arm to sense an outer surface of the heat exchanger core, and a transducer for measuring the position of the lance relative to the arm to determine the extent of travel of the tip of the lance beyond the front face of the tube bundle.
Automatic washing apparatus for heat exchanger bundle
An automatic washing apparatus for a heat exchanger is proposed. The automatic washing apparatus is configured to recognize positions of tube holes through a camera, and to automatically wash the tube holes. The automatic washing apparatus is also configured to be able to automatically wash an external bundle and internal tubes of a heat exchanger in accordance with set operation patterns of an external washing module and an internal washing module, and to be able to reuse washing water used for washing a heat exchanger as washing water by reprocessing the washing water.
ROTATIONAL SPRAYER CLEANING DEVICE FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSING UNIT AND METHOD
An improved cleaning device for an air conditioning condensing unit having a housing with a sprayer cleaning device therein which includes a rotatably disposed spray nozzle connected to a spray nozzle conduit which operably communicably connects to a hose coupling connection outside the housing, wherein the spray nozzle conduit rotates about a rotational axis. A method of cleaning the air conditioning condensing unit employs the sprayer cleaning device.
Heat Recovery Steam Generator Cleaning System And Method
A cleaning system and method includes suspending and exploding, adjacent a bank of HRSG finned-tubing, a plurality of generally uniformly spaced detonation cords. Each detonation cord has an explosive grain loading of 18-50 grains per foot. A detonation delay assembly attached to each of the plurality of detonation cords creates a predetermined delay between each detonation cord explosion. After the detonation cords are exploded, a suspended elongated beam, having a transport assembly and a pressurized air blower assembly directs pressurized air towards an adjacent the bank of HRSG finned-tubing as the pressurized air blower assembly is moved along a portion of the beam. A suspension assembly moves the beam, the transport assembly, and the pressurized air blower assembly up or down so that a next portion of the bank of HRSG finned-tubing may be cleaned by the pressurized air.
DEVICE FOR CLEANING HEAT EXCHANGE TUBES OF A STEAM GENERATOR OF A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
The invention relates to cleaning of tube bundle of NPP steam generator. The device for cleaning heat exchange tubes of NPP steam generator comprising a manipulator, which is installed to be moved and fixed in a vertical corridor between bundles of heat exchange tubes; a nozzle that is installed on the manipulator ad is in the form of a head of injectors connected to a pipeline for supplying high-pressure water jets; and means for remote control and video monitoring, wherein the manipulator is equipped with a body, which is installed on a guiding mounting frame and is connected to a base; a drive for main rotational movement located on the body; a post which is connected to the body and is in the form of a hollow column; a drive for auxiliary movement which is fixed on the post, an elbow which is connected to the post and is in the form of a tube having a gear rack, and an elbow of actuating units and a coordinate head. The technical result is a shorter cleaning time and more reliable removal of deposits.
Flexible Lance Drive Apparatus with Autostroke Function
An apparatus for sensing an obstruction within a tube being cleaned and repetitively advancing and retracting a flexible high pressure fluid cleaning lance within the tube is disclosed. The apparatus monitors drive roller/belt position and actual hose position, compares the belt (expected travel) to hose position (travel) and generates a position difference, or mismatch. If the mismatch is above a predetermined level, the drive motor direction is reversed for a predetermined time interval, and forward operation restored after the predetermined time interval; and the sequence of repeating the reversing and restoring operations is continued until the position difference or mismatch no longer exceeds the predetermined difference threshold.
Shotgun Hydroblasting System
A shotgun hydroblasting system includes a chassis. A motor is operable to drive movement of the chassis. A support arm assembly is mounted to the chassis. A shotgun nozzle mounted to the support arm assembly such that the shotgun nozzle is movable relative to the chassis on the support arm assembly. The shotgun nozzle includes a barrel defining a primary outlet for pressurized fluid and a suppressor defining a secondary outlet for the pressurized fluid. The barrel and the suppressor are positioned and oriented such that a force of the pressurized fluid exiting the secondary outlet opposes a force of the pressurized fluid exiting the primary outlet.
High pressure nozzle and related methods
A high pressure nozzle adapted to clean a tube includes an elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end, and defines one or more elongated channels along an exterior, extending from the distal end to the proximal end, and includes a head rotatably mounted to the body adjacent the distal end. The head includes jets that expel liquid at a pressure of at least 1000 psi to clean material from a wall of a tube and/or rotate the head relative to the body about a longitudinal axis. The channels are operable in an evacuation mode in which a portion of liquid is conveyed through the channels away from the head toward the proximal end to prevent and/or impair hydraulicing of the nozzle in the tube when the nozzle encounters a blockage within the tube. Related methods of use of the nozzle also are provided.
