Lacrosse head
Lacrosse head sidewalls are arranged to apply additional tension to a pocket in an upper section of the head. A sidewall bottom rail includes an outward shift of an inwardly-facing surface and/or a downwardly-facing surface such that one or both of these features is spaced further from a longitudinal centerline plane of the head as compared to a head with no such outward shift.
PROJECTILE LAUNCHING DEVICE
A golf ball launcher including a head installed on an elongate shaft. The head is a unitary cup that releasably captures a standard golf ball with a friction fit insertion. When the launcher is accelerated in an arc in the manner of a lacrosse throw, the ball is released with a slight deceleration or snap at the point of release and with backspin.
Articles of play for use in the game of catch
Disclosed herein is a game system that includes a receiving mechanism and a ball. The receiving mechanism frictionally retains the ball therein. The friction is caused by pressure that is applied on opposing points of a secant line about a surface of the ball. The frictional retention is effected by pressure applied by the receiving mechanism on at least two opposing points on the surface of the ball and the contact points of the receiving mechanism are distributed along a common secant around the ball.
Projectile launching device
A launching device comprises a shaft having a first end and a second end, a head coupled to the first end of the shaft and a handle coupled to the second end of the shaft. The head comprises a cavity and a launch ramp curved both upwardly and outwardly from the cavity, wherein a distal portion of the launch ramp extends outwardly beyond the cavity in a forward launching direction. An angle is defined by the longitudinal grip axis and the distal portion of the launch ramp to direct a projectile disposed in the cavity in the forward launching direction.
Ball throwing device with interchangeable accessories
A ball throwing device includes an arm, a ball holder at a first end thereof, a handle at a second end of the arm, and a mounting member configured for releasably mounting of interchangeable accessories. The mounting member has a first flange protruding away from the arm to a distal end, and a second flange protruding away from the first flange, in proximity to the distal end. The first flange has at least one recess. The interchangeable accessory has a mounting flange with an opening configured for the accessory to releasably couple to the mounting member. A first portion of the opening is shaped to be slidably received upon the first and second flanges; and a second portion of the opening is shaped to engage the at least one recess. The accessory may be: a spare ball holder, a pet waste bag dispenser, a pet treat container, etc.
Ball, throwing rod, and target assembly and method for playing a golf-type game
A kit and method for playing and providing training for a golf-type game comprising at least one ball, at least one throwing apparatus such as a throwing rod, and at least one target unit, wherein golf-type game is played similar to golf, except that instead of golf clubs, a throwing rod advances a ball towards at least one target. Further the target unit is a container that contains a weighted granular substance. The throwing rod is operable to enable a player to grasp the rod by a handle, retain the ball between a pair of elongated, arced rails, and throw the ball with a whip-like motion over a long distance towards the target, much the same way as a driver used in a typical golf game. Further, the throwing rod is also adapted to enable the player to putt the ball towards the target for shorter distances.
TOY APPARATUS
A toy apparatus includes an archery assembly having a frame assembly providing a central opening for permitting passage of the foam ball, and in which a user handle extends from the frame assembly, and in which elongated opposed forks extend from the frame assembly, and in which an elastic assembly is attachable to the ends of the elongated opposed forks, and in which a ball-support device is attachable to the elastic assembly. A toy apparatus includes a magazine assembly configured to be coupled to a barrel assembly of an air-pressurized toy gun, in which the magazine assembly includes an entrance portal for receiving foam balls. An exit portal is for the barrel assembly of the air-pressurized toy gun. A back-and-forth pathway is in fluid communication with the entrance portal and the exit portal.
SNOWBALL LAUNCHING AND BATTING APPARATUS
A snowball launching and batting apparatus comprising a barrel member, a handle member, and a knob feature, the handle member further comprising a primary cradle structure configured to accept, form, and store snow or snowballs. The apparatus further comprises a secondary cradle structure capable of coupling the primary cradle structure and configured to accept, form, and store snow or snowballs. The knob feature may further comprise a depression configured to form snowballs. The apparatus is further configured to have an extended and retracted state. A user inserts snow into the barrel and cradle structure to form a snowball and inserts it into the apparatus while in an extended state. Launching the snowballs from the apparatus may comprise swinging the apparatus or applying a force to the handle member to quickly move it from an extended state to a retracted state.
SLINGSHOT BASEBALL
A launching and/or catching toy kit has a ball and at least one associated slingshot. The ball includes a spherical body, a support non-movably attached to the body, a tail, a first and a second elastic band hook oppositely disposed. The slingshot is configured to launch the ball from a first user to a second user. The slingshot includes a handle and a pair of prongs connected and/or extending from the handle top. At least one elastic band is connected to each prong. Each of the at least one elastic bands are releasably captured by their respective first or second elastic band hook on the football during launching by the first user. When two slingshots are available, the users can shoot and catch the ball between each other allowing for a game of catch.
