A magazine well formed in a lower receiver of a firearm is provided. The firearm may be a rifle and particularly a tactical rifle such as, but not limited to an AR-15. The magazine well accepts more than one type of magazine. Each type of magazine operates to hold a size of ammunition that differs from the other magazines. This allows users to shoot varying sized or caliber ammunition from the same firearm by simply changing the magazine that is loaded with varying size or caliber ammunition.

A magazine conversion system mounts within a magazine well of a lower receiver, and includes a front spacer having a wedge-shaped main body with a lower end, and an upper end having a feed ramp extending upwardly therefrom; and a rear spacer having a wedge-shaped main portion with a lower portion and an upper portion having an ejector element extending upwardly therefrom. With the front and rear spacers positioned within the magazine well, at least a portion of the feed ramp and at least part of the ejector element are positioned above the magazine well.

Where there is a recoil assembly block adapted to prevent a recoil assembly from being assembled into the frame. A jig having a right side and a left side to receive and clamp the frame. The jig including three pin hole guides, a removal guide edge for each of the at least one rear restriction protrusion and the at least one front restriction protrusion and a recoil assembly cutout to allow a tool to pass to the recoil assembly block.
